Recently, the streets of Vung Tau Ward in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly part of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province) were graced by the appearance of two stunning supercars, quickly capturing the attention of car enthusiasts nationwide and the online community.

These were the Ferrari 296 GTS convertible and the Maserati MC20, owned by two car enthusiasts from Ho Chi Minh City, who decided to take a scenic drive down to Vung Tau for a leisurely outing.

The Maserati MC20 is the first commercial supercar from the renowned brand featuring the “Trident” logo. Its design is strikingly eye-catching, and its interior is luxurious, yet it remains less popular in the Vietnamese market, with only about five units in the country.

One of the most frequently seen Maserati MC20s in Vietnam is the one finished in Blu Infinito blue, one of the color options offered by the Italian manufacturer. Other available colors include Bianco Audace white, Rosso Vincente red, and Giallo Genio yellow.

A standout feature of the Maserati MC20 is its butterfly doors, which provide more space for entering and exiting the vehicle compared to conventional side doors or scissor doors. Additionally, these doors allow onlookers to easily admire the car’s interior.

The interior features a steering wheel primarily crafted from carbon fiber, accented with Alcantara leather. The center console boasts a 10.25-inch digital TFT instrument cluster and an equally large 10.25-inch infotainment screen.

The seats are upholstered in leather over the cushions and headrests, with the central sections made from Alcantara. Customers can also opt for 3D patterns that match the exterior color. A prominent feature on the matte carbon fiber dashboard is the knob for adjusting the car’s driving modes.

The Maserati MC20, the brand’s first commercial supercar, is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. This setup allows the MC20 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 325 km/h, impressive figures given its power output.

The Ferrari 296 GTS features a stylish Blu Ferrari FP1 blue paint job, with additional carbon fiber accents chosen by its owner to enhance its aesthetic appeal.

In terms of design, the Ferrari 296 GTS convertible shares many similarities with the Ferrari 296 GTB coupe. The addition of a retractable roof has increased the car’s weight by 70 kg compared to the GTB version.

The Ferrari 296 GTS retains the same power output as the GTB but offers the advantage of a roof that can be opened or closed in just 14 seconds. The process is made convenient by a dedicated button on the center console for roof operation and window adjustment.

The Ferrari 296 GTS convertible delivers a maximum power output of 654 horsepower and 425 Nm of torque from its 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, similar to the coupe version. Additionally, an electric motor positioned between the internal combustion engine and the 8-speed transmission contributes an extra 164 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque.

Thanks to its plug-in hybrid powertrain, the Ferrari 296 GTS boasts a combined output of 818 horsepower and 740 Nm of torque. This enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 330 km/h.
