Mitsubishi Pajero 2015 – The comeback of a legend.
With a glorious history and the pride of being a true SUV – Pajero 2015 has arrived in Vietnam in early November, marking the return of a legend. Among them, the most notable is the All Wheel Control (AWC) system.
Essentially, the AWC technology consists of a range of safety systems controlled by a central controller combined with sophisticated sensors to ensure safe vehicle operation in all terrain conditions. Some typical safety systems in the AWC technology include:
– Electronic balance control and traction control system (ASTC – Active Stability and Traction Control)
– Super Select II transmission system
– 4-channel ABS braking system
– Electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) system

Vehicle body stability control system: The combination of electronic balance control system and ATSC traction control system actively controls and distributes traction and braking force to each wheel, ensuring the highest level of vehicle control safety in all terrains.
The main task of the ASTC system is to stabilize the vehicle during braking, cornering, and even during starting or acceleration. When cornering, if the ASTC detects signs of over-steer or under-steer, the system will proactively adjust the traction and braking force to each wheel to control the stability of the vehicle, avoiding a loss of control.
Meanwhile, the Pajero’s ABS anti-lock braking system with 4 sensors and 4 channels on all 4 wheels allows the driver to actively steer to avoid obstacles when braking.
The Brake Assist (BA) system contributes to enhancing safety when emergency braking is needed to stop the vehicle. When it senses a sudden increase in brake pedal force, the system will actively increase the brake assist to help reduce the maximum braking distance.

Mitsubishi Pajero 2015 is equipped with 6 airbags for safety.
In addition, the vehicle’s passive safety system, such as 6 airbags, seat belts with automatic tensioning function, collapsible steering column and brake pedal in the event of a collision, combined with the enhanced RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body frame, provides the highest level of protection for the driver and passengers. The Pajero is also the first model to apply the monocoque body frame on the Dakar Rally track and has proven its effectiveness by significantly increasing stiffness while maintaining the same weight. All safety features on the Pajero 2015 are specifically recognized for their highest safety level by ANCAP and JNCAP.
