Round 4 and Round 5 of VMRC 2023 will continue to take place at Dai Nam Racing Track, Binh Duong province with 5 racing categories: NSF 100, Blade 110, WinnerX 150, CBR150R, and UB150. Unlike the previous 3 rounds, the last two rounds will be held consecutively on January 20th and 21st, 2024, to select the championship rider for each category.

These races are sprints and are critical for determining the overall season standings, so all 64 riders are determined to race aggressively. We could easily see the riders’ spirit, determination, and willpower expressed from the qualifying day, as each rider wanted to secure an advantageous starting position to gain momentum for the two official race days.

The qualifying session concluded with the five best riders securing pole: Nguyen Trung Kien (Vietnam Talent Cup), Nguyen Truong Hai Yen (Blade 110), Nguyen Minh Tri (WinnerX 150), Nguyen Vu Thanh (CBR150R), and Huynh Minh Sang (UB150). They are all set to burst into action for the final two thrilling rounds at “Sacred Land” Dai Nam, in search of the overall VMRC 2023 champions!

Vietnam Talent Cup (NSF100)

In the NSF100 category, Nguyen Trung Kien (rider number 40) is the brightest candidate for the overall championship title. This rider won all three rounds and scored a perfect 48 points after the first three rounds of the 2023 VMRC season. By securing pole for Rounds 4 and 5, rider number 40 has almost clinched the championship.

In Round 4, the climax of the race for the lead was evident from the first few laps. Trung Kien, with the advantage of pole position, accelerated and quickly took the lead, followed by the rest of the pack. However, Trung Kien was constantly breathing down the neck of Vo Nhat Duy (rider number 63).

Spectators at Dai Nam Racing Circuit witnessed a fierce, competitive battle for the lead between Trung Kien and Nhat Duy, with repeated fiery duels and position swaps. The race became even more intense with the participation of Truong Duc Tri (rider number 82).

For most of the race, Trung Kien consistently demonstrated his skill and experience by holding on to the number one position. However, unfortunately, both Trung Kien and Nhat Duy crashed on the final corners of the last lap, allowing Truong Duc Tri to easily take the victory. Yao Ying-Yi (NaNa) (rider number 74) and Nguyen Huu Phap Tri (rider number 08) also benefited, finishing second and third respectively.

Advancing to Round 5, Trung Kien continued to demonstrate his impressive form. After the crash in Round 4, Trung Kien raced with great focus and concentration. He led the pack for the entire six laps and consistently maintained a safe distance from the chasing group. However, in the final two laps, Duc Tri decided to race all-out. On Lap 7, Duc Tri suddenly surged ahead, claiming the number one position and cruising to victory. Duc Tri’s performance was highly impressive, showcasing his ability to explode at the right moment. Nguyen Trung Kien finished second, and Vo Nhat Duy finished third.

Nevertheless, in the final overall standings, Nguyen Trung Kien claimed the championship title with 70 points, followed by Truong Duc Tri with 60 points and Vo Nhat Duy with 54 points.

BLADE110 Category

Before entering the final two rounds of VMRC 2023, rider Le Tran Kim Thanh (rider number 04) had the greatest advantage in winning the overall championship title with 43 points after the first three rounds. However, rider Hai Yen (rider number 12) clinched pole for Rounds 4 and 5. Therefore, surprises could occur during the two official race days.

In Round 4, immediately after the starting signal, Le Minh Hieu (rider number 72) had a powerful start, surging to the lead. Unfortunately, during the first lap, Minh Hieu crashed due to a cornering error, handing the number one position to Hai Yen.

In the following laps, Kim Thanh became a standout performer, delivering an exceptional performance. Despite not having a favorable starting position (fifth place), Kim Thanh raced impressively and finished the eight laps on the top spot of the podium. Second place went to “the girl in pink” Hai Yen, and third place went to Nguyen Thien Duy (rider number 60).

The excitement of the BLADE110 category continued in Round 5. Taking advantage of the pole position, Hai Yen had a great start. The female rider tried to create a gap with the chasing group and gradually separated from the top, leaving the group behind by a considerable distance. Throughout the eight laps, Hai Yen maintained a calm demeanor, and at times, spectators could sense the “solitude at the top” that this rider, number 12, experienced.

Meanwhile, the battle for second place was fiercely contested, with intense duels between Kim Thanh and Hoai Thuong. At the end of the eight laps, Kim Thanh finished in third place, Hoai Thuong in second place and Nguyen Truong Hai Yen in first place. This was truly a beautiful ending for Hai Yen as she secured her first victory of the season.

In the overall standings, Kim Thanh won the championship with 70 points, Hai Yen took the runner-up spot with 60 points, and Hoai Thuong moved up to third place overall with 56 points.

Winner X 150 Category

In the Winner X 150 category, the rider with the advantage before the final two rounds of the season was Tran Gia Huy (rider number 79) with 48 points, 11 points ahead of his closest rival. Therefore, Gia Huy had a great chance of winning the overall championship title.

In Round 4, pole-sitter Nguyen Minh Tri (rider number 73) was the most impressive rider. Rider number 73 cruised to victory with a significant gap from the chasing group, crossing the finish line first after 10 lonely laps at the top. Meanwhile, Gia Huy crashed at Turn 1 on the first lap. Surprisingly, after just three laps, Gia Huy recovered to third place and finished the race in second place. Another highlight was the outstanding performance of Dang Chi Khoi (rider number 71), who started from 11th place but still managed to finish in third place.

On the official race day of Round 5, all the riders were determined to improve their positions as it was the final race day of the season. Taking advantage of the pole position, Minh Tri accelerated quickly. However, this time he was no longer able to comfortably lead and was constantly breathing down the neck of Gia Huy. Gia Huy proved his ability and determination, repeatedly closing the gap with Minh Tri to create an exciting battle for the lead. The outcome of this race was difficult to predict, with the two riders’ bikes almost parallel on the track at times. At the
