Race 2 Round 1 ARRC 2024: Cao Viet Nam Dominates But Misses Out on Fortune

Continuing to race with determination and consistently finishing in the leading group of Race 2 in Round 1 of the 2024 Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC), Cao Viet Nam (rider number 65) still lacked some luck to step onto the podium.

After a disappointing Race 1 where he crashed at the final corner of the last lap while running in the top group, Cao Viet Nam returned to form in Race 2 of Round 1 of the 2024 ARRC at the Chang International Circuit, Buriram, Thailand.

On day 2 of the competition, the “Madman” rode exceptionally well. After a powerful start and taking advantage of his 3rd place on the grid, Cao Viet Nam quickly moved into first place.

Rider number 65 consistently held the lead for many laps. The pressure from the competition was intense. There were laps where Cao Viet Nam was pushed down to 2nd and 3rd place but he quickly fought back with clever tactics and confidence, unexpectedly returning to the front.

By the final corner, Cao Viet Nam was in the top three, meaning there was a good chance of a podium finish. When rider number 65 accelerated past two riders on the final corner, Vietnamese fans held their breath.

However, once again, Cao Viet Nam crashed on this final corner. It was a cruel blow for rider number 65, who crashed in both races of Round 1 of the 2024 ARRC. The unsuccessful cornering meant that Cao Viet Nam could only finish in 11th place.

Fall down seven times, stand up eight! Hopefully, this misfortune at the opening round of the 2024 ARRC season will only increase Cao Viet Nam’s hunger to win in the following rounds.

Meanwhile, the other two riders, Nguyen Huu Tri with the number 18 and Nguyen Ton Anh Phu with the number 19, continued their consistent form from Race 1. At the end of the 10 laps of Race 2, Anh Phu finished 10th and Huu Tri finished 14th.

After Round 1 of the 2024 ARRC, it is clear to see the progress and maturity in the tactical thinking of the Honda Racing Vietnam riders. All that is missing now is the moment when the Vietnamese riders celebrate victory on the podium.

Let’s continue to follow and support the Honda Racing Vietnam riders in the next rounds!
