The Skoda Kodiaq 2024 comes with a variety of engine options, including petrol, diesel, mild-hybrid, and PHEV.

The new generation Skoda Kodiaq has just been officially announced with a host of upgrades in terms of design, size, equipment, and technology compared to its predecessor. In addition, the mid-size SUV from the Czech brand has also been electrified with the presence of both mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain options.

The Skoda Kodiaq 2024 is based on the MQB platform of the Volkswagen Group with dimensions of 4,758 x 1,864 x 1,657 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,791 mm. Compared to the previous generation, the car is longer by 61 mm, narrower by 18 mm, and lower by 24 mm while maintaining the same wheelbase.

Similar to most of its core models, Skoda has adopted an evolutionary approach in the design of the second-generation Kodiaq. While retaining the characteristic features and proportions from the previous version, the car has a sharper appearance thanks to new elements from the brand’s “Modern Solid” design language. Some details such as headlights/taillights, front/rear bumper, and alloy wheels have been refined. The car’s headlights are LED matrix type with integrated LED daytime running lights in the shape of a “T”. The taillight cluster also has a new design, highlighted by a horizontal LED strip across the tailgate.

The interior of the new Kodiaq has a modern and minimalist design, influenced by the electric Enyaq model. The car is equipped with a 12.9-inch infotainment screen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a heads-up display. The center console controls have also been redesigned to look neater. Meanwhile, the gear lever of this SUV has been moved from the center console to behind the steering wheel.

The Skoda Kodiaq is available in both 5-seater and 7-seater configurations. In the 5-seater version, the car offers a luggage space of up to 920 liters. The corresponding figure for the 7-seater version is 340 liters as standard and 845 liters with the rear seats folded.

The Skoda Kodiaq 2024 is available with 4 engine options, including petrol, diesel, and hybrid. The most notable is the PHEV version with a 1.5 TSI Evo 2 petrol engine combined with an electric motor for a total output of 201 horsepower. It comes with a 25.7 kWh battery pack that provides an all-electric range of over 100 km and supports fast DC charging up to 50 kW.

The engine specifications for specific versions are as follows:

The price of the Skoda Kodiaq 2024 has not been announced. In Vietnam, the Kodiaq is offered in two versions, with prices ranging from 1,189 – 1,409 billion VND. The car competes in the D-segment SUV segment with rivals such as the Hyundai SantaFe, Kia Sorento, Mazda CX-8, Ford Everest, and Toyota Fortuner.

As of now, Skoda has sold a total of 792,000 Kodiaq units in 60 countries worldwide. China is the largest market for this model, followed by Germany, the UK, and the Czech Republic.
