Recently, a Toyota Fortuner with a different and unique appearance was spotted on the streets of the Philippines, sparking curiosity among many people.
The SUV underwent a complete transformation with a bold and rugged image. Known as “Project Albino”, the vehicle was customized by Autobot Offroad PH in the Philippines based on the 2022 Fortuner GR-S.
The modified Fortuner resembles a large pickup truck with the capability to conquer any terrain. It has been equipped with a 6-inch (152 mm) suspension lift kit from Unicorn, paired with tough Nitto Mud Extreme 35-inch tires and KMC Grenade Crawl 20-inch alloy wheels.
In addition, the suspension system has been significantly upgraded with Profender shock absorbers, Old Man Emu control arms, and a Hardace Panhard stabilizer bar at the rear.
Apart from its distinct appearance that sets it apart from the regular Fortuner, the vehicle has also undergone various changes to enhance its rugged and aggressive feel.
Some of the upgraded features include a robust front bumper from Australian company Hamer, automatic retractable side steps, TJM snorkel for water wading, and a TRD carbon exhaust for a sporty and powerful feel. The hood has also been refined to give the vehicle a sleek and eye-catching look.
The vehicle’s suspension system has been upgraded with Profender shocks, Old Man Emu upper control arms, and a Hardrace Panhard bar. In addition, it has been equipped with additional safety features such as ARB differential lockers, AP Racing performance brakes, and an ARB underbody protection plate. Furthermore, Project Albino has been fitted with a sturdy Front Runner roof rack to provide extra storage space.
As for the interior, everything remains unchanged except for the traditional seats, which have been replaced with Recaro “Cross Sportster” racing seats upholstered in red leather.
The vehicle is powered by a 2.8L turbo diesel engine, delivering the same power output of 201 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque.
Autobot Offroad PH did not disclose the cost of this modification. However, it is evident that the owner had to invest a considerable amount of money to customize this one-of-a-kind vehicle.
