More specifically, both the Allure and Premium versions are equipped with chrome-plated radiator grille and 18-inch Granite alloy wheels with gray or black patterns. The distinguishing feature of the top-of-the-line GT version lies in the body-colored radiator grille and 20-inch Monolithe wheels with an electric car-like design.

Not only that, but the Allure and Premium versions also have LED headlights with automatic on/off function. The top-of-the-line GT version comes with premium Matrix LED headlights and automatic cornering function.

Another difference lies in the Peugeot logo on the front mudguard and the power-operated hands-free tailgate. The GT version, being the highest grade, has a logo matching the body color on the front mudguard and power-operated hands-free tailgate. On the other hand, the Allure and Premium versions only have standard power-operated tailgates.

Other features such as LED daytime running lights extending down to the front bumper, LED taillights, black-painted/LED integrated welcome lights side mirrors, and power-adjustable/foldable exterior mirrors are available on all 3 versions of the Peugeot 408.

Specifically, the Allure version features 6 airbags, tire pressure sensors, Hill Start Assist, 180-degree rearview camera, rear parking sensors, adaptive headlights, regular cruise control, forward collision warning, driver attention warning, speed limiter, speed sign recognition, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, and active safety brake.

However, customers have to go for the higher Premium and GT versions to enjoy additional safety features such as front parking sensors, adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function, blind spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane change assist. The GT version also adds a 360-degree camera.

In terms of the engine, regardless of the version, the Peugeot 408 is powered by a 1.6L Turbo PureTech petrol engine with a maximum power of 218 horsepower and a peak torque of 300 Nm. Compared to other compact SUVs currently available in Vietnam, the Peugeot 408 has a noticeable engine power advantage. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.8 seconds.

In addition to the engine, the vehicle is equipped with front-wheel drive, MacPherson front suspension, independent rear suspension, and electric power steering. The vehicle has 3 driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport, to diversify the driving experience for the driver.

Considering the above comparison tables, it can be seen that the standard Allure version of the Peugeot 408 is a worthy choice, as it has sufficient features in terms of exterior, interior, engine, and safety. On the other hand, the GT version is suitable for those who prefer a sportier appearance and more comprehensive features.
