Four years after its first launch, Lexus has revealed the next generation of the LM minivan line with the promise of further enhancing the luxury car’s quality. Introduced at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show, the new LM is expected to be distributed in more than 60 countries, including Europe and Japan.

Moving on to the new generation, the Lexus LM has received a series of upgrades, including a 50% increase in torsional rigidity compared to the previous generation. Lexus has also equipped the new LM with an improved adaptive suspension system that helps reduce vibrations, providing passengers with a more comfortable and smooth experience.

In particular, Lexus has invested a lot of time and resources in upgrading the interior of the 2024 LM to a higher level of luxury. For example, Lexus has analyzed the body movements of passengers in the development of the new seating system, going so far as to ensure that they reduce head movements and stabilize the passengers’ field of view. The front seats of the LM are also designed to provide a closer fit to the body, while the second-row seats are equipped with two types of shock-absorbing materials to reduce vibrations when the car is stationary and moving.

Lexus will offer the new LM in 4, 6, and 7-seat configurations. The 4-seat version is the most luxurious variant and features a partition between the front and rear seats, a 48-inch wide screen, a refrigerator, special storage compartments, and even heated armrests and ottoman seats. Additionally, the car also has a special air conditioning system that detects the temperature of the passengers’ face, chest, thighs, and feet, and automatically adjusts the temperature to ensure the most comfortable body temperature for the occupants.

In terms of safety, the car is equipped with the Lexus Safety System+, which includes pre-collision warning, pre-collision braking support, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure warning, and driver attention warning.

Lexus has not yet announced the full specifications of the new LM’s powertrain, apart from confirming that the car will be available with 2 hybrid options: a 2.4L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine.
