The notable exterior design changes on the GLS 2024 include a redesigned grille, updated front air intakes inspired by the new GLE, and a new taillight cluster. In addition, the new GLS is equipped with 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels finished in Himalayas Grey.
Moving inside, the interior of the Mercedes-Benz GLS 2024 also receives some upgrades. Specifically, the MBUX infotainment system on the new GLS has been updated and can be personalized in three different styles. The Off-Road mode has also been integrated into the system, displaying detailed information about slope, lateral inclination, compass, and steering angle.
Versions equipped with the Parking Package and 360-degree camera also feature a ‘transparent bonnet’ function that allows the driver to see through the bonnet. Additionally, the GLS 2024 is equipped with a new Trailer Maneuvering Assist steering angle control feature.
The upgraded Mercedes-Benz GLS comes standard with a 7-seat configuration, offering two new leather colors and standard high-gloss brown wood trim panels. Furthermore, the interior of all versions also feature high-gloss black piano lacquer details inherited from the Maybach GLS 600.
Additionally, Mercedes-Benz has updated the Off-Road Engineering Package, which includes underbody protection panels and an additional 30mm ground clearance.
In Europe, the Mercedes-Benz GLS 2024 is available with the GLS 450 4Matic, GLS 580 4Matic, GLS 350d 4Matic, and GLS 450d 4Matic versions. The base version has a power output of 381 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, while the GLS 580 4Matic boasts 517 horsepower and 730 Nm, the GLS 350d 4Matic produces 269 horsepower and 650 Nm, and the GLS 450d 4Matic delivers 367 horsepower and 750 Nm. All models are equipped with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that provides an additional 20 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque, except for the GLS 580 4Matic which receives an additional 250 Nm of torque.
Next up is the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 4Matic+ 2024. This model stands out from the regular versions with a more powerful exterior and a rear LED strip.
A range of features are now standard on the GLS 63 4Matic+, including panoramic sunroof, AMG Performance exhaust system, Burmester sound system, heated and temperature-adjustable front seats, Memory package, and 360-degree parking assist system.
Mercedes-AMG has also updated the software for the suspension system, ESP, electronic limited-slip differential, and 4Matic all-wheel drive.
The GLS 63 4Matic+ is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine with a power output of 612 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, plus an additional 22 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque from the 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds before reaching a top speed of 280 km/h.
