The front of the Lexus TX 2024 stands out with its new grille design, the “Unified Spindle” design that prioritizes aerodynamic performance. This new grille design has received mixed reviews. However, personally, I believe that evaluating a design as good or bad depends on each individual’s personal aesthetic taste.

Looking past the grille, we can see the sleek headlights with the eye-catching L-shaped LED daytime running lights. The body design of the car exudes a sporty vibe with sophisticated accents. The sides of the car feature 20 or 22-inch alloy wheels.

In terms of dimensions, the TX measures 5,159 mm in length, 1,989 mm in width, and 1,781 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,949 mm. Compared to the Cadillac XT6, the TX is 117 mm longer and has a slightly longer wheelbase of 86 mm.

Moving to the interior, we can see a minimalistic and luxurious design. The car is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a standard 14-inch infotainment display.

The Lexus TX 2024 is available in Standard, Premium, Luxury, and F Sport Performance variants, although the company has not provided detailed information. However, the company has provided some optional features, including a head-up display, multi-color interior ambient lighting, and a premium Mark Levinson 21-speaker sound system. We can also see heated steering wheel controls, heated and ventilated front seats, and power-adjustable rear trunk.

The TX 2024 has a standard luggage capacity of 569 liters, which expands to 2,747 liters when the second and third-row seats are folded down.

Similar to the Grand Highlander, the Lexus TX will be offered with three different powertrain options. The first is the base TX 350 with a 2.4L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, producing a maximum output of 275 horsepower and a peak torque of 429 Nm, which is more than 10 horsepower and 9 Nm compared to the Toyota model. The engine is connected to the familiar 8-speed automatic transmission and can be paired with all-wheel drive.

Moving up to the TX 500h F Sport Performance, users will receive a hybrid powertrain with a 2.4L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission and the Direct4 AWD system. The powertrain produces a maximum output of 366 horsepower and a peak torque of 554 Nm, which is 4 horsepower and 12 Nm more than the Grand Highlander Hybrid Max.

The final variant is the plug-in hybrid TX 550h+. Lexus has not provided much information about this variant, but it features a V6 3.5L engine, coupled with a continuously variable transmission and the Direct4 AWD system. This powertrain will provide a combined output of 406 horsepower for the SUV.

The TX is developed on the GA-K platform, which it shares with the NX and RX. However, Lexus has made improvements to enhance rigidity while minimizing noise and vibration.

In terms of safety features, the car comes standard with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which includes features such as active radar cruise control at all speeds, lane keeping assist, and pedestrian detection forward collision warning. Additionally, it includes features like lane departure warning with steering assist, traffic sign recognition, and active driving assist.

Along with the standard driver assistance systems, users can also opt for the Advanced Park system, which makes parallel and perpendicular parking easier. The crossover can also be equipped with Traffic Jam Assist, allowing for hands-free driving at low speeds.

The 2024 TX 350 and 500h are expected to be available in autumn this year, while the plug-in hybrid 550h+ will be available later. The pricing of the car has not been announced yet, but it may start from over $50,000.
