Ferrari Purosangue is not called an SUV by the Italian horse-mounted carmaker, but only a 4-door, 4-seater model. It is classified as one of the best and most expensive and unique high-performance high-floor models in the world today.
Ferrari Purosangue – the latest high-performance high-floor model has just officially joined the Vietnamese market. Let’s find out whether this “Italian stallion” can still maintain the Ferrari character or just a “spray product” SUV made by the brand to make money according to the trend.
“The saying goes that everyone has to make an SUV” – this saying seems not really true, until Ferrari – the famous horse brand from Italy, with a name attached to high-performance supercars, dominates high-performance sports cars released SUV model of their under the pressure of the market
However, Ferrari does not consider Ferrari Purosangue as an SUV. Instead, the “purebred horse” Purosangue is classified as a 4-door, 4-seater car with a higher floor.
So far, Ferrari Purosangue is the only car in the Ferrari stable designed with 4 seats. The rear doors are designed to open in a reverse clamshell style, similar to Rolls-Royce’s super luxury models.
In particular, all 4 seats in the car are bucket seats – racing seats designed to fit snugly, not the comfortable reclining seats like ordinary cars. In addition, both rows of seats will have separate control panels.
As usual on other Ferrari models, the driver’s compartment of Purosangue is centered on the driver’s seat. The D-cut sporty bottom steering wheel is equipped with shift paddles and a series of buttons. Behind the steering wheel is a minimalistic display screen with a large and clear rev counter – characteristic of racing cars.
Beside the driver, the passenger sitting in the front seat is also equipped with a separate entertainment screen, symmetrical design with the driver. A notable difference in the car is that the central entertainment screen has been removed from the dashboard. The central armrest is also integrated with a series of control buttons for operating modes.
Of course, the interior materials and finishing quality still meet the “Italian horse standards”: high-class and sporty. Customers can also choose some additional options, such as super light carbon roof instead of panoramic glass roof.
Both the front driver’s and passenger’s screens are 10.2 inches in size. The car’s entertainment system is fully integrated with smart connections like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but does not come with the ability to display navigation on the ODO screen.
When it comes to Ferrari cars, it is impossible not to mention the power of the engine. The thunderous sound of the naturally aspirated V12 engine with a displacement of 6.5L underneath the hood is truly unmatched!
It can produce up to 715 horsepower and a maximum torque of 716 Nm. Coupled with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a 4-wheel drive system, it helps the driver to reach 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds when the car is stationary. The car can also reach an electronically limited speed of over 310 km/h.
In return, this horse “drinks gasoline like water” with a fuel consumption rate of about 19.6 L / 100 km in urban areas and 14.7 L / 100 km on the highway. This figure is also quite similar to the Lamborghini Urus rival (19.6 L / 100 km – urban road and 13.8 L / 100 km – highway).
If the V12 engine plays the role of the “heart” that creates power for Ferrari Purosangue, then the active suspension system is the “soul”, making it operate like a Ferrari: powerful, agile, and very nimble.
After the actual driving experience, Purosangue completely dispelled doubts about a “Ferrari-branded car but without the soul of a purebred horse”. In each car, the adaptive suspension system is equipped with 4 electric motors, identifying factors such as “operating speed, body tilt, steering force… to adjust each shock absorber separately, to ensure the horse is always balanced when cornering.
The most noticeable thing is in poor operating conditions, the car can automatically lower its height by more than 1 cm to reduce the center of gravity. For that reason, Ferrari does not need to install any stabilizer bars for Purosangue, but still ensures the famous driving feel.
Synchronizing with its superior power and impressive performance, Ferrari also equips a range of the most advanced driving support technologies for Purosangue, ensuring safety and accident prevention. Notable features on the car include: emergency automatic braking, intelligent automatic headlights, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning and lane keeping assist…
Similar to Porsche and Lamborghini; launching an excellent SUV will not ruin the brand’s reputation, but on the contrary, it can strengthen the increasingly firm position and contribute to the overall success of the brand. Both Cayenne, Urus; or Bentayga, Cullinan have demonstrated this and so is Purosangue.
Ferrari Purosangue not only deserves to be ranked alongside the world’s highest-performance SUV models like the Porsche Cayenne Turbo or the “hometown” Lamborghini Urus. It is also worthy of being placed alongside the top luxury SUVs currently Bentley Bentayga and Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
Of course, to be able to enjoy the ultimate driving pleasure while handling the steering wheel, while still being served as a super deluxe king – queen on luxury cars; The amount of money customers have to spend is not small.
That is not to mention a range of additional value-enhancing equipment that users should buy, such as front seat massage, sunshade when using the panoramic sunroof… Each detail will “swallow up” quite a bit in the wallet of the car owner.
In return, customers who buy Ferrari Purosangue will enjoy superior warranty policies, including: comprehensive warranty and engine warranty for 3 years unlimited mileage. Especially for the free maintenance policy for up to 7 years unlimited mileage.
