According to plans, the Honda CR-V 2024 will be officially introduced in Vietnam on October 25. Currently, dealerships have begun accepting deposits for this new generation of the SUV model. And right before its launch, dealerships have revealed the expected price of the Honda CR-V 2024.

Specifically, in the Vietnamese market, the Honda CR-V 2024 will be distributed in 4 versions: the G version priced at 849 million VND, the L 2WD version priced at 899 million VND, the L 4WD version priced at 949 million VND, and the e:HEV version priced at 1.149 billion VND. These prices are relatively close to the official selling prices, with only minor differences.

Compared to the previous generation, which had prices ranging from 998-1.118 billion VND, the Honda CR-V 2024 still has a significantly lower starting price. However, compared to other competitors in the same segment, the Japanese SUV is slightly more expensive. For example, the Mazda CX-5 currently has prices ranging from 749-999 million VND, and the Hyundai Tucson has prices ranging from 769-899 million VND.

According to sales consultants, the Honda CR-V 2024 in the Vietnamese market will be distributed as completely built-up units imported from Thailand for the e:HEV version. The other 3 versions, G, L 2WD, and L 4WD, will be assembled domestically like the previous generation.

Regarding design, the new generation of the Honda CR-V in Vietnam is not much different from the models in other markets. The design of the CR-V 2024 takes inspiration from the Ridgeline pickup and the Passport TrailSport SUV. This is most evident in the front of the car, with a grille featuring a honeycomb pattern in black. The front lighting system includes LED headlights and LED daytime running lights, which have been redesigned to harmonize with the new grille. Moving to the rear, the Honda CR-V 2024 stands out with an elongated L-shaped taillight that extends to the rear wing, similar to the previous version but with improved lighting graphics for a more eye-catching appearance.

Entering the new generation, the Honda CR-V promises to bring users a range of attractive interior convenience features. In addition to a 10.2-inch digital display behind the steering wheel and a 9-inch center screen, this SUV will also have a head-up display (HUD). The entertainment system now features a 12-speaker Bose sound system, similar to the new Civic. The power-adjustable driver’s seat also has a memory function.

Similarly to the Thai market, the new CR-V distributed in Vietnam also offers 2 seating configurations. The gasoline versions (G and L) have 3 rows of seats, accommodating 7 passengers like the previous generation. The Hybrid version has 2 rows of seats, accommodating 5 passengers.

In terms of powertrain, the Honda CR-V 2024 still uses the same 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine as the previous generation, combined with a CVT gearbox. However, the new model also offers the option of all-wheel drive (AWD) on the highest gasoline version. Previously, the CR-V only had front-wheel drive.

The hybrid engine is the highlight of the Honda CR-V 2024. The vehicle is equipped with an e:HEV powertrain, which includes a 2.0L Atkinson Cycle 4-cylinder gasoline engine, 2 electric motors, and a CVT gearbox, producing a total output of 207 horsepower and a maximum torque of 335 Nm.

In terms of safety, in addition to the premium safety package including Honda Sensing and LaneWatch, the Honda CR-V 2024 is also equipped with a 360-degree camera and active cornering lights. It also features a function that automatically lowers the high beam when oncoming vehicles are detected, to reduce glare for the driver.
