After half a year of launching at home, recently, the Mazda3 facelift C-size sedan was introduced to the Southeast Asian market.
As such, the car will be distributed in the form of completely imported models from Japan with 4 versions, including both sedan and hatchback. The price range will be from 156,059 – 175,059 RM (about 807 – 906 million VND).
Unlike other competitors, Mazda often doesn’t change much in terms of design for facelift versions, and the 2023 Mazda3 is no exception.
Similar to the Japan market, the most notable upgrade in the 2023 Mazda3 is in the interior. The car is equipped with a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, much larger than the 8.8-inch version in the old model. In addition, the car is also added with USB-C ports, wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity, and a Bose 12-speaker audio system.
In terms of safety features, the 2023 Mazda3 has a range of driver assistance features such as: 4 rear sensors, 7 airbags, reverse camera, ABS anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution EBD, emergency brake assist BA, traction control and hill-start assist.
In the premium version, the car will be equipped with additional features such as: 4 front sensors, adaptive headlights, headlight high beam control HBC, blind-spot warning, front vehicle cut-in warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, driver attention alert, and automatic emergency braking when moving/reversing, 360-degree camera.
In Malaysia, the car no longer has the option of a 1.5L 4-cylinder petrol engine. The Mazda3 2023 in this market is now only powered by a naturally aspirated Skyactiv-G 2.0L 4-cylinder petrol engine with a maximum power of 162 horsepower and a peak torque of 213 Nm. The engine comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. In addition, it is equipped with Start/Stop engine stop-start technology and G-Vectoring Control Plus (GVC Plus) torque vectoring system.
After Malaysia, it is likely that the Mazda3 2023 will also come to Vietnam.
