Toyota has just announced updates for the 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross in the domestic market. The first notable change includes the removal of the previous 2.0L 4-cylinder hybrid engine and replacing it with a smaller 1.8L engine. Toyota has also improved various parts of the hybrid system to enhance fuel efficiency and increase power, although the exact fuel consumption figures have not been disclosed.
For users who are not interested in the hybrid version of the Corolla Cross, they can choose the traditional internal combustion engine version, which still uses the previous 2.0L 4-cylinder engine instead of the 1.8L engine.
In addition to drivetrain updates, Toyota has enhanced the Safety Sense system of the SUV model, including better active driving assistance and forward collision warning with pedestrian detection capabilities.
Furthermore, the vehicle is equipped with a new 10.5-inch infotainment screen and a 12.3-inch TFT digital instrument cluster.
In the Japanese market, the 2024 Corolla Cross has a price range from 2,184,000 yen ($15,574) to 3,459,000 yen ($23,084).
