Exclusive Lamborghini Miura SV abandoned by Arab royalty seeks new owner at a sky-high price

The 1972 Miura SV, delivered to the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia, is currently up for sale. This Miura is equipped with rare features that are not commonly found on other models, such as the aerodynamically designed canard front wing (only 2 Miura cars in the world have this) and a separate oil system for the engine and gearbox (Lamborghini records indicate a total of 96 cars with this feature).

The Miura SV started production in 1972 and was delivered to the Saudi Arabian Royal Family shortly after. The car possesses many rare features on the Miura, such as the canard aerodynamic wind deflector attached to the front (only 2 Miura cars in the world use this) or the engine and gearbox oil separator system (Lamborghini’s records show a total of 96 cars).

However, after being handed over to a new owner, the Miura SV was abandoned and spent most of its time covered in dust until the early 2000s – when the car was found in a warehouse owned by the Saudi Royal Family under a pile of cardboard boxes.

However, the Miura SV was bought back and exported to the United States where the car was fully restored – a process that took 2 years. The entire body of the car was repainted to a completely new exclusive metallic gray tone named Grigio Fantastico Metallizzato. The car was then exported to Europe in early 2011 and has been part of the Joe Macari Classics collection ever since.
