In addition, the wide range of options and reasonable prices have made MPVs increasingly popular in Vietnam. Here are some small MPVs currently available in the Vietnamese market.
Mitsubishi Xpander (560 – 658 million VND)
The Mitsubishi Xpander is a competitively priced MPV with modern and convenient features. Since its launch, the Xpander has quickly become the best-selling model in its segment, surpassing the Toyota Innova.

Toyota Veloz Cross (658 – 698 million VND)
The Toyota Veloz Cross features a modern design, fuel-efficient engine, and Toyota Safety Sense safety system. It is seen as a direct competitor to the Mitsubishi Xpander.
In Vietnam, the Toyota Veloz Cross is available in two official versions: CVT and CVT Top.

Hyundai Stargazer (575 – 685 million VND)
The Hyundai Stargazer has joined the small MPV segment in Vietnam with its ability to meet various family needs.
The Hyundai Stargazer 2023 is imported from Indonesia and comes in four versions: Standard, Special, Premium, and Premium 6-seater. It is worth noting that this is a rare MPV in the segment that offers a 6-seater configuration.
Compared to most competitors in the segment, the Hyundai Stargazer has a unique design. The front windshield extends further than usual, connecting with the hood of the vehicle. This design optimizes the vehicle’s aerodynamics, with a coefficient of drag of 0.32Cd, the lowest in the segment. From a side view, the Stargazer looks like a Xpander with the front and rear ends cut off. However, in reality, the Hyundai Stargazer has similar dimensions to its competitors in the segment.

The Suzuki Ertiga is the first MPV in the segment to feature a mild hybrid engine. The vehicle is currently available in three versions: MT, AT, and Sport Limited.
The Suzuki XL7 offers impressive fuel efficiency, with a consumption rate as low as 5.05 L/100km (approximately 47 MPG). The vehicle is equipped with a 1.5L Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) engine, combined with an electric motor.
Toyota Avanza Premio (558 – 598 million VND)
The Toyota Avanza Premio is a small, 7-seater MPV in the segment below the Innova. The Avanza Premio has a modern and youthful appearance compared to its old and neutral predecessors.
The vehicle is imported from Indonesia to Vietnam and comes in two versions: manual and CVT automatic.
Notable standard features on the Toyota Avanza Premio include: halogen fog lights, LED taillights, high-mounted brake lights, shark fin antenna, automatically folding side mirrors with integrated turn signals, rear window vents, touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, Bluetooth, hands-free calling, mechanical air conditioning. The seats in the Toyota Avanza Premio can be folded in a 60:40 ratio for the second row and a 50:50 ratio for the third row. In addition, the seats can be folded into a unique sofa mode or a regular folding mode to allow customers to adjust the space based on different usage scenarios.
The Toyota Avanza Premio 2022 is equipped with a 1.5L engine, replacing the 1.3L engine in the previous generation. The vehicle has a power output of 105 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 138 Nm at 4,200 rpm.
The transmission options for the Avanza include a 6-speed manual transmission for the MT version and a continuously variable transmission (CVT) for the CVT version, both with front-wheel drive. Competitors such as the XL7 and automatic Xpander models use 4-speed automatic transmissions.
Suzuki XL7 (599 – 639 million VND)
The Suzuki XL7 is a versatile and practical vehicle, offering ample space, convenience, and reliable performance.
The Suzuki XL7 is distributed in Vietnam as an imported model with two versions: GLX and Sport Limited.

The Honda BR-V is a 7-seater MPV that competes directly with the Mitsubishi Xpander, Suzuki Ertiga, and Toyota Veloz Cross. In Vietnam, the vehicle is available in two versions, with prices ranging from 661 to 705 million VND.
The Honda BR-V offers a unique blend of SUV exterior styling and MPV practicality.
