Yesterday, on September 4th, 2023, a viral image of a traffic accident involving a cargo truck and a luxury car, Bentley Mulsanne, has caught the attention of social media users.

Initial reports suggest that the collision between the Bentley Mulsanne and the cargo truck took place in Nghi Đức, a district in Vinh City, Nghệ An Province.

The photos taken at the scene of the accident show that the cargo truck rear-ended the Bentley Mulsanne, resulting in the high-end sedan’s damaged rear end, with one taillight shattered. The truck also suffered damage to one of its headlights.

Fortunately, there were no reported casualties as a result of the accident. However, both the small cargo truck and the Bentley Mulsanne suffered significant damage. It is estimated that the repair costs for the Bentley Mulsanne will exceed a hundred million Vietnamese đồng.

Bentley Mulsanne is a luxurious and expensive car model. In Vietnam, a brand-new white-plated Bentley Mulsanne costs over 30 billion Vietnamese đồng. The involved Bentley Mulsanne was spotted in Vinh, an old town in Nghệ An Province, based on its headlight design and front bumper.

Currently, the Bentley Mulsanne model has been discontinued, and it is estimated that there are fewer than 35 units of this model in Vietnam. In Nghệ An province alone, there are expected to be just three Mulsanne cars, one of which bears a special registration number with four consecutive nines, making it visually appealing. Unfortunately, the vehicle involved in the accident has a diplomatic license plate (NG).

The Bentley Mulsanne is equipped with a V8 engine, with a displacement of 6.75 liters and twin-turbocharging. It generates a maximum power output of 505 horsepower and a peak torque of 1,020 Nm at a low-speed range of 1,750 RPM. Weighing over 2.5 tons, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 296 km/h.
