Recently, the paparazzi spotted the test prototype of the Nissan Rogue Facelift on the test run. While the exterior changes seem insignificant, Nissan has made notable upgrades to the interior of the SUV, with the focus on the infotainment system.
The uncovered dashboard photos reveal that the car will be equipped with a new center touch screen. This screen appears to be larger than the 8-inch screen on the US-spec Rogue model and looks identical to the 12.3-inch screen on the premium X-Trail version currently available in Europe, Japan, and Australia. The control buttons below the new screen of the Nissan Rogue Facelift are also designed similarly to the European high-end X-Trail version.
Meanwhile, the air conditioning controls, digital instrument cluster, and steering wheel seem to retain their original design.
This test prototype is predominantly camouflaged in the front and rear sections, suggesting that these will be the areas receiving design tweaks. It is likely that Nissan will adjust the LED graphics. In addition, the front bumper appears to be redesigned with changes in the air intakes under the headlights and V-shaped grille. The Japanese automaker may also add new exterior paint colors and new wheel designs to give the car a more prominent new look.
There is currently no leaked information about upgrades for the transmission system. The current version is equipped with a single traditional internal combustion engine, a 1.5L 3-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine, generating a maximum power of 201 horsepower and a peak torque of 305 Nm, combined with an Xtronic CVT gearbox.
