With the goal of promoting and building the Motorsports movement in Vietnam, with the support of the representative office for the FIA World Motorsport Federation, VMA company, as well as the Vietnam Sports Car Association and the Motorsports community in Vietnam, and with the hope of creating a Motorsports playground in Ho Chi Minh City, Redline Motorsports Club has organized the launch event of the Racing Club in Ho Chi Minh City, along with the Motorsports workshop.

Although the Formula 1 race was postponed in Vietnam in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the impact of participating in this prestigious race has laid the foundation for building a new Motorsports discipline – car racing in Vietnam. Motorsports refers to high-speed car races that comply with regulations issued by the FIA World Motorsport Federation.

At the launch event, Mr. Nguyen Hong Vinh, Chairman of Redline Motorsports Club, said: “We aim to establish a racing culture in Vietnam, and this launch event serves as a Motorsports workshop. This is a very special sport that attracts a large number of participants.

However, Motorsports in Vietnam is not widespread. In order to establish a foundation for Motorsports, we need to not only build racing teams but also have people ready to participate in Motorsports as supervisors, referees, organizers, etc. Therefore, through this workshop, we hope that sports car enthusiasts will have the necessary information to contribute to the development of the movement.”

In addition to the high level of interest, the presence and sharing of representatives from the media, the representative of the FIA World Motorsport Federation in Vietnam, and VMA company, spoke at the event: “Motorsports needs to develop in terms of both width and depth. The establishment of racing clubs is a starting point for the professional development of Motorsports in Vietnam. Not only promoting the racing discipline according to international standards, racing clubs also need to focus on spreading racing culture and promoting safe driving awareness.”

Redline Motorsports Club was founded in May 2020. Redline Motorsports focuses on selecting and training racers according to international standards, organizing small-scale races with the goal of promoting the Auto Gymkhana (Motorkhana) racing format, which is accessible to car owners.

The club plans to organize 7 races in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in 2021, attracting a lot of interest from racing enthusiasts.
