Vietnamese racers compete in the second leg of ARRC 2022 in Malaysia

The Asian Road Racing Championship (ARRC) 2022 has made its comeback after a 2-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, featuring 6 thrilling races held at major race tracks across Asia. In the upcoming 2022 season, Honda Vietnam (HVN) will be represented by 3 familiar riders donning the Honda Racing Vietnam team colors.

The Honda Racing Vietnam team competes in two categories, UB150 and AP250, with the goal of achieving good results after a long time being affected by the pandemic.

Here are the details of the Honda Racing Vietnam team at the ARRC 2022 round 2:

Rider Nguyen Duc Thanh #193 (participating in the UB150 category)

Although still young, rider Nguyen Duc Thanh has been the consecutive champion in the Blade 110 & MSX 125 categories at the VMRC 2019 and 2020 races sponsored by HVN. With the experience of competing in three rounds of ARRC 2019, along with systematic training and coaching, rider Nguyen Duc Thanh continues to be one of the two representatives of the Honda Racing Vietnam team competing in the UB150 category.

Rider Nguyen Anh Tuan #178 (participating in the UB150 category)

Nguyen Anh Tuan is known as the champion of the 2022 VMRC season and leads the VMRC 2019 standings after 4 rounds in the Winner 150 category, with a calm and wise racing style. In addition, with the advantage of competing on the Winner 150, the rider can easily adapt to the UB150 category. Although only competing in one round of ARRC 2019, the rider has shown determination to compete on equal terms with experienced riders. In round 2 of ARRC 2022, the rider will continue to compete in the UB150 category.

Rider Cao Viet Nam #65 (participating in the AP250 category)

Cao Viet Nam is currently the only Vietnamese rider participating in the AP250 category. In just two years of competing in the AP250 category, the rider has made significant progress and impressed. In the 2019 season, Cao Viet Nam earned 50 points, ranked 14/44, and the team ranked 7/20. Also in 2019, Cao Viet Nam became the first Vietnamese rider to win the Thailand Talent Cup (TTC). With the progress and maturity in strategic thinking, serious training, and a desire to conquer challenges, the rider and the team expect Cao Viet Nam to maintain a good performance.

The Honda Racing Vietnam team will compete in all 6 rounds in the UB150 and AP250 categories. The overall schedule for the 2022 season is as follows:

Currently, the target set by HVN for the 3 riders in the ARRC 2022 is: Cao Viet Nam in the AP250 category achieves Top 5; Nguyen Duc Thanh and Nguyen Anh Tuan in the UB150 category achieve Top 15.
