Vrarva Orcus is a custom version of the mid-size MPV Mitsubishi Delica D:5, with design inspiration taken from military vehicles.
Mitsubishi Delica is a larger MPV than Xpander, first launched in 2007. Although it underwent a major upgrade in 2018, the overall design of this model is still considered outdated compared to its competitors in the same segment. Delica does not have good sales in the domestic market, but it is one of the popular customization models. Recently, Kuhl – a famous tuning shop in Japan has introduced Vrarva Orcus, a modified version based on the Mitsubishi Delica D:5, with design inspiration taken from military vehicles.
To create this modification, Kuhl has equipped the MPV with a 16-piece body kit, including a new front grille, wheel arch trims, front/rear mudguards, and a roof wind deflector. In addition, the tuning company has also removed the Mitsubishi logo both from the front and rear, replacing it with a stylized V emblem.
The “feet” of the Vrarva Orcus have also been upgraded with new 17-inch Vrarva DW01 alloy wheels, accompanied by Dunlop Grand Trek AT5 off-road tires. Moreover, if customers feel that the ground clearance of the Delica D:5 is too low for off-road, Kuhl will provide an option to increase the ground clearance by 102 mm.
Although having a rugged appearance, the engine of the Vrarva Orca is quite weak. This modification does not upgrade the performance compared to the original, which means that the car is still equipped with a 2.3L turbocharged diesel engine with a power of 143 horsepower.
Kuhl said that a Vrarva Orcus has a price of nearly 40,000 USD (about 970 million VND). In addition, the tuning company also offers a complete upgrade package for customers who already own a Delica D:5, with a price of about 18,000 USD – equivalent to 438 million VND.
