Hyundai Motor America still keeps the information about these two models top secret,
but they describe these two cars as “a dynamic duo,” and they will have “more daring and modern appearance as well as the most advanced technological enhancements.”
That’s quite vague, but the Sonata facelift was expected to be unveiled at the Seoul Mobility Show earlier this year. Therefore, we can expect a Sensuous Sportiness design that will address the controversial look of the current model.
The front end has been completely redesigned with the Seamless Horizon Lamp daytime running lights above the wide radiator grille and low-set headlights. The rear has also been enhanced and features newly designed H-shaped taillights that highlight the “spacious and high-tech nature” of the Sonata.
Buyers looking for a sportier model can opt for the Sonata N Line, which stands out with its unique grille and special 19-inch alloy wheels. Upgrades continue inside the cabin with contrasting red stitching and “metallic cross pattern decoration.”
In terms of interior, the 2024 Sonata boasts a higher-quality cabin with a more premium design. Highlights include the new large display that incorporates a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system. The car also features a 12-inch head-up display and an upgraded and enhanced Bose 12-speaker audio system.
Like the Sonata, the 2024 Elantra will have no big surprises as this model has already been introduced in China and South Korea. Changes on the facelift version of the sedan are fewer, including a slimmer front grille, a sportier front bumper, and new headlights. There are also some relatively minor interior upgrades.
