According to Autolife Thailand, the Yaris Cross for the Thai market will only be equipped with a 1.5L hybrid engine. So it seems that the variants using the 1.5L petrol engine will not be distributed in Thailand.

Yaris Cross Hybrid is equipped with a 2NR-VEX 1.5L 4-cylinder petrol engine, generating a maximum power of 91 PS and a torque of 121 Nm, combined with an electric motor (80 PS/141 Nm). This powertrain comes with an E-CVT automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

According to Autolife Thailand, although the Yaris Cross production center is located in Indonesia, the small crossover variant for Thailand is believed to be assembled (CKD) in this kingdom.

In Indonesia, the Yaris Cross Hybrid sells better than the petrol versions, with the Hybrid variant accounting for 86.5% of the total sales of this model in July.

Detailed information about the Yaris Cross Hybrid Thai version will only be revealed after the launch, but the car may be equipped similarly to the Indonesian variant. In Indonesia, the Yaris Cross is equipped with:

– Panoramic sunroof
– Power tailgate with foot sensor
– 7-inch TFT instrument cluster
– 10.1-inch infotainment screen
– Support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
– Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) ADAS safety system

Thai media believe that the Yaris Cross Hybrid could be priced below 1 million THB (equivalent to about 678 million VND). This will be a competitor to the Honda HR-V.
