Kawasaki Thailand has just introduced the all-new Z400 naked street at the Thailand Motor Show 2018 in Bangkok (from November 29th to December 10th). Prior to that, the new Z400 appeared for the first time at EICMA 2018 held in early November 2018 in Milan, Italy.
The 2019 Kawasaki Z400 is the latest addition to the “Z family” and is the naked version of the Ninja 400 model.
The appearance of the Z400 is inspired by the Sugomi design philosophy, which has become the foundation for all new Kawasaki models, including the supermotorcycle models Ninja H2 and Ninja 400.
The Kawasaki Z400 stands out with its sporty design, attractive headlights, muscular fuel tank, steel frame, and high-swept tail with sharp lines throughout the body.
The handlebar cluster features all the necessary control buttons such as electric lock, start button, turn signals, headlight/high beam, and horn. It is followed by a compact instrument cluster that still displays all the necessary information of the bike.
The front suspension of the bike is a 41mm telescopic fork and a rear mono-shock with adjustable preload. The front and rear wheels are equipped with 310mm and 220mm disc brakes respectively, with ABS brakes as standard.
The Kawasaki Z400 weighs 167 kg, which is 1 kg lighter than the Ninja 400 and 3 kg for its sibling Z300.
The heart of the 2019 Kawasaki Z400 is similar to the Ninja 400, with a liquid-cooled, 399cc parallel-twin cylinder engine. This engine produces a maximum power of 45 hp at 10,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 38 Nm at 8,000 rpm. Combined with a 6-speed transmission and accompanied by a slipper clutch system. Meets Euro 4 emission standards.
Recently, Kawasaki has continuously introduced new products, which have been quite successful in their segments. Recently, the Japanese motorcycle brand has once again launched a new model in the “Z” family, the Z400 2019, as an attractive affirmation for the mid-range segment. The Kawasaki Z400 will compete with the KTM 390 Duke and BMW G310R.
