After 03 days of intense competition from 27-29/10/2023, the Vietnam Off-road Car Racing Championship PVOIL Cup 2023 officially concluded at the Ethnic Cultural Village – Vietnam. The PVOIL VOC this year was extremely dramatic and the results were only decided at the last minute, with stunning turnaround after the second day of competition, completely shaking up the rankings.
In all 4 categories, there were 4-5 teams with a chance of winning the cup before entering the afternoon competition of the third day. The championship title was only decided after the final competition. In particular, in the Advanced SUV category, the difference between the first, second, and third teams was only 1 point.
This year, the champions in all 4 categories were racing teams and athletes who had never won the cup in previous seasons. More notably, among the 12 teams this year, there were representatives from off-road clubs from the Northern, Central, and Southern regions.
Specifically, in the open category, the winning team was Nông dân Sài thành – Bình Dương. The prize was a certificate, a cash prize of 50,000,000 VND, and a set of BFGoodrich LT285/70R17 MUD TERRAIN KM3 tires worth 47 million VND.
In the Advanced SUV category, the winning team was Vitclub Nghĩa Phương. The prize was a certificate, a cash prize of 50,000,000 VND, and a set of BFGoodrich LT285/75R16 MUD TERRAIN KM3 tires worth 44 million VND.
In the Advanced Pickup category, the first prize belonged to the team TVC – Trâu Kinh Bắc 01 with a prize of a certificate, a cash prize of 40,000,000 VND, and a set of BFGoodrich LT265/70R17 ALL-TERRAIN KO2 tires worth 24 million VND.
In the Basic category, the team TTC – Wolver 01 won the championship and received a certificate, a cash prize of 30,000,000 VND, and a set of BFGoodrich LT275/65R17 ALL-TERRAIN KO2 tires worth 24 million VND.
PVOIL VOC 2023 was organized with the largest arena ever, including 15 race tracks and nearly 700 competitions. This year, a total of 87 teams participated with 174 athletes.
Since 2010, VOC has been officially recognized by the General Department of Sports as a sports event in the system of domestic competitions.
Petroleum Vietnam Joint Stock Corporation (PVOIL) has been a companion of the VOC racing championship since 2016. From 2019 until now, PVOIL has become the title sponsor of the championship.
