Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R priced the same as Kia Morning, coming to Vietnam

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R 2023 was unveiled in February this year. After more than a month, this model quickly debuted in Southeast Asia, specifically in Indonesia. In fact, before Indonesia, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R was also introduced in Thailand at the Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) 2023 exhibition.

In the Indonesian market, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R only has 1 version, which is the ZX-4RR. This is the highest-end version and equipped with fully luxurious features. Therefore, it is not surprising that the bike has a high price tag, up to 239.9 million Rupiah (about 379 million VND), equivalent to a Kia Morning in Vietnam.

Meanwhile, in Thailand, the price of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R for 2 versions, Standard and Special Edition, is 320,000 Baht (221 million VND) and 360,000 Baht (248 million VND) respectively.

The most notable highlight of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is the engine. This is a sports motorcycle equipped with a 4-cylinder engine, the only 400cc engine in the world at present. This sets it apart from its sibling Kawasaki Ninja 400, which uses a twin-cylinder engine.

The 4-cylinder engine is a straight-line, DOHC, liquid-cooled, EFI electronic fuel injection engine of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R, producing a maximum power of 75 horsepower at 14,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 37.6 Nm at 12,500 rpm.

This engine is combined with a 6-speed gearbox, 15-liter fuel tank and is placed in a steel tube frame. In addition, the bike also has 4 riding modes which are Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider. Among them, Rider is the mode that allows the rider to customize as desired.

The highest-end version comes with features such as slipper clutch, electronic throttle, quick up/downshifting, LED headlights/taillights, tinted windscreen, digital instrument panel with a 4.3-inch LCD screen, USB port, and smartphone connectivity.

In addition, it also has traction control system KTRC, adjustable BFRC-Lite front forks and horizontal rear shock absorber. The bike has 17-inch wheels, with 120/70 front tire and 160/60 rear tire. It is equipped with dual 290mm front disc brakes and a single 220mm rear disc brake. The seat height is 800mm, which is quite suitable for Asian riders. The weight of the bike is 188 kg.
