Following the successful CR-V, Honda Vietnam has recently introduced the second-generation HR-V crossover, with modern design, additional features, and especially the Honda Sensing safety package.
The design of the 2022 Honda HR-V is considered a transformation, with new lines in the front, body, and back of the car.
The chrome-plated diamond-shaped grille is the most noticeable detail on the 2022 HR-V. Along with that, the LED headlights have been upgraded with a similar segmented design, similar to Honda sedans like Accord or City.
Together with the new front bumper design, the 2022 HR-V continues to be equipped with modern LED fog lights.
Moving on to the body, the Honda HR-V 2022 has a completely different appearance, blending coupes with a practical crossover, and a fastback tail design with a strong sports atmosphere.
The size has increased compared to the previous version, giving a modern, sporty, and imposing look. Specifically, the Honda HR-V has dimensions of LxWxH: 4,385 x 1,790 x 1,590 mm.
The wheels have also been upgraded, with 18-inch dual spoke alloy wheels, similar to the previous CR-V.
The rearview mirrors have been adjusted from the A pillar down to the door, minimizing blind spots and promising the best visibility for the driver.
The tailgate spoiler has a sleek fastback design, combined with a shark fin antenna to emphasize the youthful and sporty atmosphere for the HR-V 2022.
Similar to the main lighting system at the front of the car, the rear brake lights have also been completely “transformed”, with a modern and beautiful segmented design.
At the bottom, the Honda HR-V 2022 uses a dual exhaust pipe design, emphasizing youthfulness and elegance. Along with that, the rear bumper design is also slim and similar to the front bumper.
Entering the Honda HR-V cabin, the interior space design is divided into horizontal layers by Japanese designers, creating a spacious feeling.
Similar to the newly released Honda Civic, the interior of the new HR-V exudes simplicity, neatness, sophistication, modernity, and practicality.
Located in the center of the dashboard is the 8-inch infotainment screen, integrated with popular Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connections.
The steering wheel has also been upgraded in design, round, modern, and creating an exciting feeling for the driver. With the Honda Sensing package, the two steering wheel wings are fully equipped with intelligent function control buttons and entertainment information.
Behind the steering wheel are the sports mode shift paddles. The HR-V 2022 is also equipped with a 7-inch multi-information display, combined with two round screens that are also modern displays, with very intuitive display capabilities.
The next valuable upgrade on the Honda HR-V 2022 is the air conditioning system. The control button cluster has been simplified with 3 round knobs, similar to many Honda models such as City, Civic, or Accord, creating complete uniformity in the company’s product range.
In the HR-V 2022, Honda has equipped the car with a dual-zone independent air conditioning system. Along with that, the air vents have been added with 3 cooling modes. In particular, the diffusing mode allows airflow to flow along the ceiling or along the body, without blowing directly into the faces of passengers.
The rear seats have been equipped with ventilation vents, along with two convenient charging ports, providing comfort for passengers. Along with that, the HR-V’s smart key has also been added with remote start feature, providing passengers with a cool space before stepping into the car.
The gearshift and electronic parking brake area has also been simplified, bringing a modern feel to the 2022 Honda HR-V. At the same time, the car is equipped with 3 different driving modes, depending on the operating conditions.

In the rear seats, the space and visibility for passengers have been increased, with the redesign of larger windows, creating a spacious and comfortable feeling on the journey.
To increase flexible customization when carrying luggage, the Honda HR-V can fold 60:40 in 3 modes, not only folding the seatback but also raising the seat surface straight up. This is the first car in the segment to have this useful feature.
With the goal of popularizing modern safety features for its entire range of products, the Honda HR-V 2022 is also equipped with the Honda Sensing package as standard for both versions with 6 features, including: Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS); Forward Collision Warning (FCW); Adaptive Cruise Control – Low Speed Follow (ACC – LSF); Auto High-Beam (AHB); Road Departure Mitigation (RDM); Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS).

To enhance performance and bring excitement to drivers and passengers, the Honda HR-V 2022 has been upgraded with the VTEC 1.5L turbocharged engine, similar to the sibling Civic model.
Compared to the previous 1.8L naturally aspirated engine on the previous version, the HR-V 2022 has increased power, with a maximum output when combined with the CVT transmission and front-wheel drive system of 174 HP and 240 Nm of torque.
At the same time, the Japanese automaker has also listened to consumer feedback and fine-tuned the HR-V, in order to minimize as much noise as possible. The engine mount bracket has been changed from aluminum to steel, combined with the addition of sound-absorbing materials in many positions around the car.
In addition, the Honda HR-V 2022 has also fine-tuned both the suspension and steering systems with electric power-assisted steering to create excitement for drivers.
In the RS sport version, the 2022 Honda HR-V is equipped with the Honda Connect feature, with the ability to connect the car to a smartphone. Honda Connect allows owners to easily store travel history, vehicle management, look up information and remind maintenance schedules, easily and conveniently anywhere.

In the first year, HR-V RS owners will receive a free subscription to the Honda Connect package.
In conclusion, with many valuable changes from inside to outside, the all-new Honda HR-V 2022 keeps the price unchanged, starting from 826 million for the L version and 871 million for the RS version. It is predicted that this will be a worthy competitor to the crossover models in the segment of cars priced under 1 billion VND, such as the Toyota Corolla Cross, Hyundai Tucson, or Mazda CX-30.
