On September 23, the MG Cyberster pure electric sports car was brought to Vietnam and displayed along with two models New MG5 and MG RX5.
So far, this car model has unexpectedly been announced by some dealers to receive deposits. Accordingly, MG Cyberster will have an expected price range from 2.2 – 2.4 billion VND. Customers who place orders from now may have to wait until May 2024 to receive the car.
Currently, Vietnam is also one of the earliest countries to accept deposits for this car model worldwide.
MG Cyberster is positioned in the C-size convertible segment. The car has dimensions of length x width x height of 4,535 x 1,913 x 1,329 mm and a wheelbase of 2,690 mm.
The car has a muscular and charismatic appearance with a fairly balanced body ratio with a long bonnet and a bulging tail section that gives a muscular sensation.
At the rear of the car is an elongated LED strip that wraps around the tail and a taillight with integrated arrow-shaped turn indicator lights mounted on the black decorative air vent. The most notable highlight of the car is the unique scissor-like door design, similar to Lamborghini models.
Inside the driver’s compartment of MG Cyberster there are only two seats with Y-shaped sports seats. The car is equipped with a flat-bottomed sports steering wheel, integrated paddles to adjust the energy recovery system, and a curved digital instrument cluster that is a combination of three screens on the dashboard surface.
In addition, MG also provides a screen placed on the center armrest of Cyberster; modern integrated infotainment system with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 and Unreal Engine 4.0 graphics. This system is combined with premium Bose speakers.
Providing power for MG Cyberster are 3 motor options. Specifically, the standard version is equipped with a rear-mounted electric motor with a maximum power of 309 horsepower. The mid-range version is equipped with a rear-mounted electric motor with 335 horsepower.
The most powerful version uses two electric motors with a total power of 536 horsepower and maximum torque of 725 Nm, paired with four-wheel drive. With this power, the Cyberster can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds.
The top speed of MG Cyberster is limited to 200 km/h for dual-motor variants and 193 km/h for single-motor versions.
Accompanying the above-mentioned three motor versions are two types of batteries with capacities of 64 kWh and 77 kWh, providing a travel range of 501 km, 520 km, and 580 km with a full cluster of batteries, according to the CLTC test cycle in China.
