Hyundai first introduced the Sonata 2024 in March 2023 as an upgrade version in the middle of the eighth-generation lifecycle. The significant changes are mainly focused on the front of the car, where the headlights and daytime running lights with a unique shape have been replaced with simple LED strips and separate headlights integrated into the air intake slot. It’s a more modern design and also more eye-catching.
Other significant upgrades on the upgraded Sonata N Line include new 19-inch alloy wheels, bold new LED taillights, and it will come in 6 exterior colors including Serenity White, Biophilic Ink, Abyss Black, Nocturne Grey, Ultimate Red, and Aero Silver Matte.
Moving to the interior, the Hyundai Sonata 2024 also receives notable upgrades. The most obvious change is the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 12.3-inch infotainment screen, both placed in a floating curved display. Especially, the 2024 version has a gear lever mounted behind the steering wheel. Hyundai has also refined the interior ambient lighting system of the car. Notably, the N Line version is equipped with Nappa leather seats with contrasting red stitching.
Providing power for the Sonata N Line is a turbocharged 2.5L 4-cylinder engine, producing a maximum power of 286 horsepower and maximum torque of 422 Nm. This engine is combined with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission front-wheel drive, but unfortunately, there is still no limited slip differential.
Hyundai has equipped the Sonata 2024 with wireless software update capability, and all models sold in Australia are standard equipped with Hyundai BlueLink connectivity service.
In the Australian market, the Hyundai Sonata N Line 2024 has a starting price of 35,191 USD.
