However, the plan is expected to be implemented by the end of this year. Vespa Elettrica for Vietnam will be imported as a whole from the Pontedera factory in Pisa, Italy.

The power source for Vespa Elettrica is a one-way electric motor with a maximum power of 2 kW (2.7 horsepower) or 4 kW (5.4 horsepower) and a maximum torque of 200 Nm. According to Piaggio, the real-world performance of Vespa Elettrica is similar to that of a 50cc scooter. In addition, the scooter also has an ECO mode, which limits the speed to below 30 km/h to save energy.

Furthermore, it is equipped with an 86 Ah lithium-ion battery pack, allowing the scooter to travel up to 100 km. The lifespan of this battery pack is 1,000 charge cycles, equivalent to 50,000 – 70,000 km or about 10 years of use for the majority of users. The battery pack takes about 4 hours to fully charge.

Moreover, this luxurious electric scooter is also integrated with Ride-To-Rider connectivity technology, which allows users to control and monitor the scooter’s operation through a smartphone app. Additionally, the scooter also features keyless ride recognition technology.
