Recently, Porsche has officially introduced the third generation of the Panamera sports sedan.

In general, the 2024 Panamera does not differ much from its predecessor, but it still has enough new features to prove that it is a different version. The car has dimensions of length x width x height of 5,052 x 1,938 x 1,422 mm, among which the length of the car increases slightly by 3 mm.

The most noticeable change in the exterior of the Porsche Panamera 2024 is the front area of the car. The car has larger air vents accompanied by new standard LED Matrix headlights.

The side area of the car is almost unchanged in terms of design. The company only adds new air vents to the front fenders, sharper corner window glass, and frameless rear windows for the car.

The Panamera 2024 is equipped with 21-inch multi-spoke wheels, an optional feature. The wheels are inspired by its “brother” Porsche 911 GT3.

The rear of the car still retains the coupe-like shape as before with a gradually sloping roof, but the taillights have been redesigned to be sleeker and more streamlined. The rear wing has two new open modes and the rear diffuser is slightly refined.

To distinguish it from other versions, the premium Turbo E-Hybrid model will have unique features such as special air vents, color-matched diffusers, and copper-colored exhaust pipes. The front air vents, window frames, and Turbo lettering on the rear door are finished in a new Turbonite color.

In terms of interior, the cabin space of the car has many similarities to its “sibling” Taycan. The car is equipped with a curved 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster; a 12.3-inch center touchscreen and a 10.9-inch touchscreen for front passenger. In particular, the German automaker has delicately placed a special film on the passenger-side screen to ensure their relaxation and entertainment do not distract the driver.

Similar to the Cayenne SUV model, the traditional gearbox on the center console of the Panamera has been removed and replaced with a toggle switch located behind the steering wheel, allowing for a larger storage compartment.

Not only equipped with modern features in the front seats, the rear seats of the Panamera also have a storage compartment, a touch screen to control certain functions in the car; these equipment are installed between the two rows of seats.

The steering wheel of the new version has integrated mode selection buttons as well as a head-up display.

Other eye-catching features include a continuous lighting system all along the entire center console, improved foam seat padding, and more color and material options. Notably, this is the first time Porsche offers non-leather options in the form of Race-Tex and Pepita fabric.

In the new generation, the car is equipped with 4 E-Hybrid variants, all of which have more powerful electric motors with a new dual-clutch transmission.

However, at the moment, Porsche has only announced the specifications of the engine used for the Turbo E-Hybrid version of the Panamera.

This version is equipped with a V8 gasoline engine, twin-turbocharged, with a displacement of 4.0L, combined with an electric motor integrated into the 8-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission and a larger 25.9 kWh battery pack. This powertrain produces a total output of 670 horsepower, helping the car accelerate from 0-96 km/h in just 3 seconds before reaching a top speed of 314 km/h.

In the standard gasoline version, the 2024 Porsche Panamera is equipped with a V6 gasoline engine, twin-turbocharged, with an upgraded displacement of 2.9L, producing a maximum output of 348 horsepower and maximum torque of 499 Nm.

In the new generation, Panamera E-Hybrid versions are supplemented with a “Porsche Active Ride” suspension system. This system not only helps the car run smoothly but also automatically adjusts the ground clearance based on driving conditions, with the ability to raise the ground clearance up to 5.5 cm.

Porsche Panamera is equipped with the Porsche InnoDrive active safety package, providing a higher level of autonomous driving. Together with that is the Remote ParkAssist system, allowing the driver to remotely control parking via a smartphone.

According to the plan, Panamera 2024 will be produced at Porsche’s factory in Leipzig, Germany. The company has started accepting deposits for this car in the United States with a starting price of $99,900 for the base version, while the Panamera 4 has a starting price of $106,900. The price of the Turbo E-Hybrid version has not been revealed yet.
