The design of the Subaru Forester 2025 has been criticized for being lacking in personality, lacking in its own character, and borrowing too many lines from other models such as the BMW X1, Toyota RAV4, and Ford Explorer.

Subaru Forester 2025 has just been officially introduced at the Los Angeles Car Exhibition (taking place from November 17 to 26). The SUV model quickly attracted the attention of both customers and the media, especially in terms of design when many people think the new Forester has too many similarities with some other popular models on the market.

In the latest generation, the Subaru Forester possesses a design that is influenced from the old BMW X1, demonstrated through clear lines and a gradually lowered hood, creating a more rugged, masculine and modern design, but considered to be less personality than before. It is not difficult to see the similarity to the rival Toyota RAV4 of this car in the side view, with square wheel arches and the creases on the D-pillar.

The new front of the car is squared off, highlighted by the large vertical grille surrounded by the headlights spread around like wings. This design is quite similar to the fifth-generation Ford Explorer (2010-2019).

Some notable features on the Subaru Forester 2025 include a panoramic sunroof, electric trunk and EyeSight driver assistance system. 17, 18, or 19 inch wheels depending on the version.

If the appearance of the Forester 2025 is considered lacking in consistency and the unique features of the brand, then the interior of this SUV model bears the distinctive characteristics of Subaru. The most impressive equipment is the vertically placed central entertainment screen, sized from 7 to 11.6 inches, integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The air conditioning vents are placed on both sides of this screen.

While many rival models have switched to using digital steering wheels, the Subaru Forester 2025 is still equipped with a traditional analog instrument cluster, combined with a small screen in the middle. The central control area is significantly more spacious thanks to the removal of physical buttons.

All versions of the Subaru Forester 2025 are equipped with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder boxer engine with a power of 180 horsepower (2 horsepower lower than the previous version) and a maximum torque of 241 Nm. This engine block is accompanied by the Lineartronic CVT continuously variable transmission and all-wheel drive. In addition, the company also confirmed that it will soon launch a hybrid version, but has not announced a specific date and time. The ground clearance of the car remains the same as the previous generation, but the Forester 2025 has a 10% stiffer frame structure and an electric power steering system borrowed from the WRX sports sedan.

The Subaru Forester 2025 will be available at dealerships in the US in early 2024. The price of the car has not been disclosed, but it is likely to be significantly higher than the current generation (from $28,390 – equivalent to 690 million VND).
