Porsche, the renowned German automaker, is known not only for its iconic car models like the 911, Panamera, Cayenne, Macan, and Taycan but also for its impressive line of bicycles designed for active individuals. In 2021, Porsche introduced two electric bike models, the Porsche eBike Cross and eBike Sport, priced at 7,990 Euros (equivalent to 206 million Vietnamese Dong) and 9,990 Euros (equivalent to 257 million Vietnamese Dong) respectively.
With such price tags, many people view these Porsche eBike models as luxury toys for wealthy enthusiasts or collectors who already own a garage full of Porsche cars. The Porsche eBike Cross and eBike Sport are considered interesting wall decor items.
A local importing company has recently shared that they have acquired a Porsche eBike Cross and are eager to share it with cycling enthusiasts.
According to the announcement, the Porsche eBike Cross is priced starting from $1x,000, which is equivalent to a minimum of 235 million Vietnamese Dong and a maximum of 470 million Vietnamese Dong. Some comments have mentioned that the Porsche eBike Cross looks beautiful and luxurious but the price of over 235 million Vietnamese Dong is a major barrier.
The Porsche eBike Cross is specifically designed for off-road cycling enthusiasts, providing a different experience from the Porsche eBike Sport, which is primarily used on roads. The eBike Cross weighs 21.7 kg and features a three-level seat adjustment for individuals ranging from 1.56-1.7m, 1.68-1.82m, and 1.8-1.94m in height.
The standout features of this bike include its sleek black paint job, a hydraulically adjustable Crankbrothers seat post, a front suspension system equipped with a 120mm Fox 34 Performance fork, and a Fox Float DPX shock absorber with a travel of 110mm at the rear.
The Porsche eBike Cross features a droplet-shaped saddle, larger and spiky tires, and a Shimano XT 12-speed mechanical gear system. Unlike the Sport model, it does not come with LED lighting and features a carbon frame.
Lastly, the Porsche eBike Cross is equipped with a Shimano Steps EP-8 motor, providing a maximum torque of 85Nm, with a top speed limited to 25 km/h. With a 504Wh battery, its operating range is just over 100 km. The battery can be fully charged from 0% to 100% in just 5 hours.
