After many “teasers”, recently, the large-sized pure electric MPV model Xpeng X9 has been officially launched at the Guangzhou Auto Show.
Accordingly, the car will be distributed in two versions, which are the standard front-wheel-drive (FWD) version and the high-end four-wheel-drive (AWD) version, with prices starting from 54,000 USD (1.3 billion VND).
Xpeng X9 is built on the SEPA2.0 platform and is Xpeng’s first model equipped with the intelligent cabin control software XOS Tianji.
The car has dimensions of 5,293 x 1,988 x 1,785 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 3,160 mm.
Different from the boxy design of familiar MPVs, Xpeng X9 is inspired by spaceships. Each line is meticulously designed, combining 17 aerodynamic features that have been optimized to achieve a drag coefficient of only 0.227 Cd.
Currently, the X9 is considered to be the MPV with the most spacious and comfortable cabin in its segment.
The car also possesses a range of modern utility equipment such as: a two-spoke steering wheel integrated with function buttons, a small-sized LCD digital clock, a large screen in the central control area, wireless charging…
Xpeng X9 has a 7-seater configuration with the second row of seats having two independent seats, fully equipped with armrests and a separate charging port with a folding table. Passengers can entertain, update news through the 21.4-inch screen hanging on the ceiling of the car and use drinks in a small refrigerator.
The car is also equipped with zero-gravity reclining sofa seats combined with adjustable headrests and backrests that can be adjusted electrically, providing users with comfort during long journeys.
The third row of seats in the car also has 2 cup holders and an independent air conditioning control system.
Providing power for Xpeng X9 are two different propulsion systems. The single-motor variant has a power output of 315 horsepower, while the dual-motor variant has a combined power output of 496 horsepower.
The electric MPV has fast charging capabilities of 800 V and three driving range options: 610 km, 640 km, and 702 km.
With the rear-wheel-drive steering standard, the X9 can achieve a turning diameter of only 10.8m, making it agile like small urban cars.
The Xpeng X9 model has started to accept deposits from dealers since November 17. The first cars are expected to be delivered to customers in January 2024.
