As predicted, the front of the GLC Coupe is similar to the SUV version, while the sloping roofline and rear end have been redesigned to give it a different look. The car has an aerodynamic design with a drag coefficient of 0.27 Cd, an improvement over the 0.30 Cd of the previous model. In addition, the length of the car is 4,763mm, 31mm longer than the previous version.

Although the new model still maintains the typical Mercedes coupe-SUV ratio, it looks more sleek and elegant compared to its predecessor. This is mainly due to the thinner LED taillights connected by a black outline, similar to the GLC and the entire EQ product line.

Mercedes has only released images of a GLC Coupe equipped with the AMG Line package, which includes the Panamericana grille, sporty bumper, and 19-inch alloy wheels, this is the standard equipment in the US market.

The interior looks quite familiar with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a color head-up display (HUD), and an 11.9-inch touchscreen using the latest version of the MBUX infotainment system. In addition, the car comes with a standard 3D Burmester surround sound system with 15 speakers and 710 watts.

In terms of powertrain, there are significant differences between the drivetrain options of the GLC Coupe for the North American and European markets. In the US, the car is available as the GLC 300 4Matic Coupe, equipped with a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine producing a maximum power of 255 horsepower and a peak torque of 400 Nm, combined with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that adds an additional 23 horsepower and 248 Nm when needed.

Meanwhile, the European market offers more product variations, including four mild hybrid and three plug-in hybrid options. The 2.0L turbocharged gasoline engine delivers a maximum power of 201 horsepower in the standard GLC version, while the stronger GLC 300 has the same specifications as the US version. The 2.0L turbodiesel engine produces a maximum power of 194 horsepower in the GLC 200d version or 265 horsepower in the GLC 300d version, and both receive support from the 48-volt mild-hybrid system.

For the PHEV variants, all are equipped with a single electric motor producing a maximum power of 134 horsepower and a 31.2 kWh battery pack. The GLC 300e has a combined power of 308 horsepower, the GLC 400e increases to 375 horsepower, and the GLC 300de combines a diesel engine with an electric motor for a power output of 328 horsepower.

All versions of the GLC Coupe meet the standard with sport suspension and sport steering, while inheriting the 4Matic all-wheel drive system and electronic features from the regular GLC, as well as available ADAS.

Mercedes has not yet revealed the pricing for the new GLC Coupe.
