Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) 2022 Stage 3: Reviving the Heat

The Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) 2022 has made a comeback after a 2-year hiatus due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the success of ARRC Round 2 at Sepang, Malaysia, ARRC Round 3 will take place at the Sugo Circuit, featuring the participation of numerous professional riders from various countries.

At the end of May, Honda Racing Vietnam had a fiery competition at ARRC stage 2 in Sepang, with passion and determination to prove themselves. At the end of stage 2, the rankings of the riders are as follows: In the UB150 category, Nguyen Anh Tuan ranks 15th out of 24 with 16 points, Nguyen Duc Thanh has 11 points, ranking 19th out of 24. With the AP250 category, Cao Viet Nam has pocketed 26 points, ranking 9th out of 18 in the whole stage.

Returning to stage 3 of this year’s ARRC season, the Honda Racing Vietnam team continued to participate with the presence of 3 talented young riders with remarkable achievements: Nguyen Duc Thanh, Nguyen Anh Tuan, and Cao Viet Nam, registered to compete in the AP250 and UB150 categories.

Cao Viet Nam, the only rider competing in the AP250 category, is known as one of the leading riders in Vietnam at the moment: the first Vietnamese representative to win the Thailand Talent Cup (TTC) 2019, ranked 14th out of 44 in the 2019 ARRC with 50 points overall. Cao Viet Nam is expected by the racing community and trusted to live up to the expectations of the fans.

Nguyen Duc Thanh, a young rider of Honda Racing Vietnam team with impressive achievements: consecutive championships in the Blade 110 and MSX 125 categories of the VMRC season in 2019 and 2020, one of the most prestigious races in Vietnam sponsored and organized by HVN. With an impressive performance at ARRC stage 2, Duc Thanh is trusted to be the representative of Honda Racing Vietnam to participate in the Asian Motorcycle Race in the UB150 category.

Nguyen Anh Tuan, the champion of VMRC 2018 and 2019, leading the VMRC 2019 rankings in the Winner 150 category. With experience in racing on the Winner X, Nguyen Anh Tuan has the advantage of easily adapting to the requirements of the UB150 category at ARRC. In stage 3, the rider will continue to compete in the UB150 category.

Coming to stage 3 in Japan this time, the three young riders of the Honda Racing Vietnam team set the goal of entering the Top 5 in the AP250 category, in which Anh Tuan and Duc Thanh successfully conquer the Top 10 in the UB150 category.

The 3rd stage of the ARRC 2022 Asian Motorcycle Race will take place from August 12th to 14th at the Sugo Circuit race track in Japan. This is also the first time this international race is held at Sugo Circuit, known as one of the top-scale and high-quality race tracks in the Land of the Rising Sun, with a grandstand capacity of over 50,000, a total area of ​​2.1 million m2, built as a complex, according to international standards FIA Grade 2.

The race track has a total length of 3,704 km with 13 corners, the longest straight section is 704.5 m. As a new race track chosen within the framework of the Asian Motorcycle Race, the race track structure of Sugo Circuit may be the highlight that makes a difference while also being seen as a challenge for the riders.
