Recently, Lexus RZ has added a new version called the RZ 300e, positioned lower than the RZ 450e version.
Lexus RZ 300e is equipped with an electric motor with a power of 201 horsepower and a maximum torque of 266 Nm, along with front-wheel drive.
The energy is supplied by a 71.4 kWh battery pack, allowing the car to travel up to 599 km according to the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). This figure applies to models equipped with 18-inch wheels, and it can be said that the existing 20-inch wheels will significantly reduce that distance.
In addition to the new drivetrain, the luxury SUV is also refined in its suspension system with a new rear component as well as optimised springs, stabilisers, and shock absorbers. Lexus said that the new suspension system ensures smooth and agile operation of the electric SUV while taking advantage of the 100 kg weight difference between the 300e and 450e.
In addition, Lexus also announced that it has added a fast-charging battery heating system to the Lexus RZ 300e and RZ 450e, which speeds up the charging speed when the outside temperature is too cold.
In Japan, the Lexus RZ 300e is priced at 8,200,000 yen (equivalent to 1.357 billion VND), which is 600,000 yen (about 100 million VND) lower than the RZ 450e version. In the future, the Lexus RZ will be introduced in 9 new countries and regions, including Central and South America. This effort, as well as the introduction of the affordable RZ version, will help promote the electrification process of this luxury brand’s products.
