Before officially launching on December 14th, the Kia car company has “teased” the first teaser video of the 2024 Sonet model.
In the just-released video segment, the Kia Sonet 2024 stands out with its personality red exterior.
The front part of the car has been completely redesigned with a thinner front grille, reverse L-shaped LED daytime running lights, and new LED headlights. The front bumper of the car has also been ruggedly refined.
In addition, the Kia Sonet 2024 also features a new multi-spoke, sporty and sturdy wheel set. This wheel set is reminiscent of the Kia Sportage model currently on sale in Vietnam.
As a facelift version, the interior space of the Kia Sonet 2024 cabin will only be slightly upgraded. The car has a new interior color, accompanied by a digital dashboard and adjusted air conditioning buttons.
The Kia Sonet 2024 is also equipped with a premium Bose speaker system. If sold in Vietnam, this new equipment will be slightly better than its competitor Toyota Raize.
According to many speculations, the Kia Sonet 2024 is equipped with 6 airbags, ABS brake system with electronic brake force distribution (EBD), electronic stability control (ESC), and other standard safety features. The high-end version is also equipped with the active safety package ADAS.
Providing power for the car are 3 engine options, distributed depending on the market. Firstly, a 1.2L gasoline engine with a maximum power of 83 horsepower and a peak torque of 115 Nm. Secondly, a turbocharged 1.0L gasoline engine with a power of 120 horsepower and a torque of 172 Nm. Finally, a 1.5L diesel engine with a maximum power of 116 horsepower and a peak torque of 250 Nm.
The 1.2L gasoline engine will be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Meanwhile, the other 2 engines will be equipped with a 6-speed iMT manual transmission, a 6-speed automatic transmission, or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. According to many sources, Kia will introduce a diesel manual version for this car model in the Indian market.
