After the brilliant success of the first 2 races, the 3rd race of the VMRC 2023 championship officially returned to Dai Nam racetrack, Binh Duong province on October 15th with the participation of 64 racers in 5 racing categories including Vietnam Talent Cup (NSF100), BLADE110, WINNER X 150, CBR150R, UB150.
Dai Nam racetrack is a familiar name to fans of speed sports and Vietnamese racers. The racetrack has a total length of 2,200 m, the longest straight is 400 m, and there are 11 corners including 7 right turns and 4 left turns. The high number of corners and their continuous frequency require racers to focus on the race and have high physical fitness.
The weather was favorable, sunny with a light breeze, combined with careful technical preparations and the relentless spirit of the racers, stage 3 of the VMRC 2023 championship brought the audience extremely exciting and spectacular performances.
Vietnam Talent Cup – NSF 100 category
Not disappointing the expectations of the audience, right from the opening race of stage 3 VMRC 2023, the Vietnam Talent Cup – NSF 100 category witnessed very dramatic and attractive races.
In the qualifying session, racer Truong Duc Tri (number 82) excellently took the pole position. The second and third positions went to Trung Kien (40) and Jordi Nam (77) respectively.
Based on the results of the qualifying race for stage 3 and the results of the first 2 races, Jordi Nam, Tran Ngo Khoa, Vo Nhat Duy, and Nguyen Trung Kien are the racers with a lot of potentials to compete for positions on the championship podium.
Right after the start signal, the racers took off with powerful kick starts. Just as Duc Tri had shown in the qualifying race, in the first lap, he started to accelerate, increasing the distance from the other racers.
However, Trung Kien caught up, creating a fierce competition among the top 3 leading racers including Duc Tri, Trung Kien, and Ngo Khoa. They competed millimeter by millimeter on the racetrack.
This is the most exciting race so far of the NSF100 format. The competition for the first place was thrilling from the first lap to the last lap. Especially, the race for the runner-up position was extremely fierce, very exciting and had to be determined in the last few meters of the racetrack.
After 8 laps, Nguyen Trung Kien finished first, followed by Truong Duc Tri in second place and Tran Ngo Khoa in third place. Through stage 3, Nguyen Trung Kien once again affirmed the qualities of a potential champion. He won all 3 stages and is a strong candidate for the championship. Meanwhile, Duc Tri showed impressive efforts to score 13 points in this stage 3.
BLADE110 category
This category is highly expected by speed enthusiasts for its intense and dramatic races.
After 2 races, racer Kim Thanh (number 04) is leading with 27 points. Next is Thien Duy (60) in second place with 26 points, Van Thanh (41) in third place with 25 points, and the only female racer Nguyen Truong Hai Yen (12) holding fourth place with 20 points. The point difference between the racers is not too significant. The opportunity is still open for all to compete for the championship title of the season, making race 3 even more dramatic than ever.
The race started with strong kick starts from the racers. Among them, Le Tran Kim Thanh had the most impressive start that propelled him to the top of the race. In addition, there were continuous incidents on the racetrack with racers falling, which helped Kim Thanh maintain a safe distance from the pursuers. After that, Kim Thanh easily ran alone towards the finish line.
All the attention was focused on the battle for the second place between Hai Yen and Hoai Thuong. Hai Yen always played with great concentration and determination, while Hoai Thuong made relentless efforts to keep up. However, at the 9th bend of lap 5, Hai Yen made a regrettable mistake, which caused her to fall and allowed Hoai Thuong to easily move up and claim the second position.
Meanwhile, in the battle for third place, the tension was heightened between Hai Yen and Le Minh Hieu. After the unfortunate incident, Hai Yen still showed great determination. Taking advantage of Minh Hieu’s lack of concentration, Hai Yen surpassed him to secure the final position on the podium.
At the forefront, we could feel the loneliness of Kim Thanh as he hardly faced any pressure from the chasing group. He comfortably maintained his position at the top, wearing a very eye-catching outfit. It can be seen that the entire race was dominated by Kim Thanh. He easily finished in first place. Hoai Thuong took second place and Hai Yen finished in third place. Hai Yen’s effort was commendable as she did not give up even after the fall incident.
WINNER X 150 category
The next highly anticipated race was the WINNER X 150 category. After two races, racer Tran Gia Huy (number 79) is leading with 32 points, followed by Nguyen Minh Tri (73) and Dang Chi Khoi (71) with 24 points each. It is certain that after this stage 3, Nguyen Minh Tri and Dang Chi Khoi will no longer have the same number of points.
The starting positions for stage 3 of the WINNER X 150 category were Tran Gia Huy (number 79) starting in first place, Dang Chi Khoi (number 71) in second place, and Nguyen Minh Tri (number 73) in third place.
From the kick start, there was already intense competition at the top among the trio of familiar racers on the leaderboard, Gia Huy, Chi Khoi, and Minh Tri. In this stage 3, Gia Huy showed extremely stable form, consistently leading the race. Although maintaining a good distance from the pursuers, Gia Huy still tried to improve his performance through each lap. He always maintained seriousness in every moment, every corner, and constantly pushed his own limits forward. Meanwhile, Chi Khoi also secured his second position.
The heat of the WINNER X 150 category in stage 3 concentrated on the race for the third position on the podium. Racers Hoang Quan (number 29) and Luu Truong Bao (number 48) competed closely to claim the third position.
At the end of 10 laps, Gia Huy calmly finished in first place, marking his third consecutive victory in stage 3. Chi Khoi excellently took the second position. Luu Truong Bao finished in third place, and Hoang Quan crossed the finish line in fourth place.
CBR150R category
If the WINNER X 150 category was not difficult to predict the winner in this stage, the CBR150R category in stage 3 of the VMRC 2023 championship was extremely intense and unpredictable. The champion of the CBR150R category was only revealed in the last few meters of the racetrack.
The starting positions for the CBR150R category in stage 3 of the VMRC 2023 championship were Nguyen Nhat Truong (number 96) in first place, Nguyen Hoang Dang Khoa (number 17) in second place, and Nguyen Vu Thanh (number 19) in third place. This category had the participation of Vo Huyen Thien Thu (number 66).
Right from the kick start of the race, the heat was pushed to a climax with close competitions at the top. The positions of the racers in the top 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 continuously changed.
The highlight of the CBR150R category must be mentioned about racer Vu Thanh (number 19). He was considered a silent, determined racer. He didn’t need to show too much in the first few laps like the two racers Nhat Truong and Dang Khoa. In the first 7 laps, Nhat Truong and Dang Khoa were the two racers who frequently held the first position. Only in the last few laps, Vu Thanh showed his formidable potential.
In the last 3 rounds, the competition between Vu Thanh, Nhat Truong, and Dang Khoa became extremely fierce. The racers competed closely, fought fiercely on every corner, and there were constantly exciting moments of position changes. Unfortunately, at the first bend of the last lap, Dang Khoa made a regrettable mistake and fell, which resulted in him only being able to finish in fifth place.
Meanwhile, Vu Thanh excellently crossed the finish line in first place, Nhat Truong took second place, Truong Giang took third place, and Minh Di finished in fourth place.
UB150 category
Surprising variables continued to appear, and the tension was pushed to a climax in the final race of stage 3 VMRC 2023, the UB150 category. The sound of roaring exhausts made the atmosphere of Dai Nam racetrack hotter than ever.
After 2 races, the leaderboard of the UB150 category consisted of Huynh Minh Sang (number 28) in the first place with 32 points. Le Khanh Loc (number 68) in second place with 19 points. Nguyen Nhut Linh (number 58) in third place with the same 19 points.
However, Le Hung Huu Tin (number 11) was the racer who won the pole position in stage 3. Next was Tran Hoang Phuc (number 38) in second place, and Huynh Minh Sang (number 28) in third place.
Taking advantage of the pole advantage, Le Hung Huu Tin quickly accelerated and took the lead in the race. The racers chasing behind included Le Khanh Loc, Huynh Minh Sang, and Tran Hoang Phuc.
After that, the UB150 category in stage 3 can be considered a double-race battle between racers Huu Tin and Khanh Loc. Huu Tin handled the corners very well, making it difficult for Khanh Loc to catch up. The race seemed to end with Huu Tin winning the championship, but it was surprisingly in the last 400m straight line that Khanh Loc accelerated and reached the finish line first. Meanwhile, Huu Tin finished second and Hoang Phuc finished third.
Stage 3 VMRC 2023 ended with extremely exciting and thrilling competitions until the last moment. The journey of the VMRC 2023 Vietnam Motorcycle Racing Championship will continue with stages 4 and 5 in Hanoi. Let’s look forward to the fiery performances of the racers in the upcoming stages!
