The Toyota Crown Signia 2024 is the replacement for the Venza and is one of four models in the new generation Toyota Crown lineup.
Recently, the Japanese automaker has unveiled the Crown Signia 2025 model through the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Toyota Crown Signia 2024 is the production version of the Crown Estate prototype introduced by the company in its home country in 2022.
In the US market, the Toyota Crown Crossover is seen as a replacement for the Avalon. Meanwhile, the Toyota Crown Signia will replace the discontinued Venza. According to the plan, the Toyota Crown Signia 2024 will be available in the US market next summer.
Toyota Crown Signia 2024 is built on the Toyota New Global Architecture K (TNGA-K) platform, shared with the Crown sedan. The car will have a larger size than the Venza, as well as more practicality and utility with a towing capacity of up to 1,225 kg. The specific dimensions of the Toyota Crown Signia 2024 have not yet been announced. However, it is expected that the car will have the same length x width x height of 4,930 x 1,880 x 1,620 mm and a wheelbase length of 2,850 mm as the Toyota Crown Estate in Japan.
In terms of design, the Crown Signia 2024 applies the latest design language of Toyota, with a distinctive Hammerhead front end. The car is equipped with a narrow, borderless grille, quite similar to the new generation Lexus RX. The LED daytime running lights are slim and sweep back to form a C shape. Meanwhile, the headlights are placed low, connected to two air intakes. Finally, there is a wide inverted trapezoidal center air vent on the front bumper.
Looking at the side of the car, the Toyota Crown Signia 2024 has raised crease lines running near the bottom of the windows, and a low roof, giving the SUV a sportier look. The car is equipped with 19-inch or 21-inch wheels, depending on the version.
At the rear, the Toyota Crown Signia 2024 features a slim, horizontal taillight cluster across the width of the car. Below the taillights is the small Toyota logo.
Entering the cabin, the Toyota Crown Signia 2024 has a two-row seating layout with 5 seats. This crossover model comes in two interior color options: black and brown, both with copper accents in some details.
Toyota Crown Signia 2024 is available in the US market in two versions: XLE and Limited. With the Toyota Crown Signia 2024 XLE, the car will be equipped with a digital instrument cluster and a center touchscreen display of the same size of 12.3 inches that supports wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. In front of the driver is a 3-spoke steering wheel, integrated with function buttons and paddle shifters. In addition, there are power-adjustable front seats, fabric seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel with heating, power tailgate, 6-speaker audio system, wireless phone charging, 5 USB ports, etc.
Meanwhile, on the Toyota Crown Signia 2024 Limited version, the seats are upholstered in leather, with heated/cooled front seats, heated rear seats, fixed panoramic sunroof, digital rearview mirror, and JBL Premium Audio 11-speaker sound system.
Notably, Toyota Crown Signia 2024 is also equipped with soundproof glass and an engine cover made of noise-reducing material.
In terms of powertrain, the Toyota Crown Signia 2024 in the Land of the Rising Sun only uses a single 2.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine, accompanied by 2 electric motors, producing a total output of 243 horsepower, coupled with an e-CVT transmission and 4-wheel drive. When needed, the drivetrain can divert 80% of the power to the rear axle to limit front wheel slip and reduce head pitch.
The car has 5 driving modes, including Normal, Eco, Sport, Eco, and EV. In particular, the EV mode allows the car to run on electric power for a short distance. According to the manufacturer’s announcement, the average fuel consumption of the Toyota Crown Signia 2025 is about 6.53 liters/100 km.
In terms of safety, Toyota Crown Signia 2024 is equipped with the advanced Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 driver assistance package, including lane departure warning, lane keep assist, pedestrian detection, automatic headlights, and 8 airbags. In addition, the Advanced Technology option adds low-speed traffic jam assist, lane change assist, and 360-degree camera system to the car.
