Previously, car enthusiasts in the country were amazed by the news that businessman Pham Tran Nhat Minh purchased the Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 916 30th Anniversary. Now, a biker from the Western region continues to show his adventurousness as he also owns a Ducati Panigale V4 SP2.
Panigale V4 SP2 916 30th Anniversary is Ducati’s tribute to the iconic 916 superbike designed by Massimo Tamburini. This special edition was recently launched by the Italian motorcycle manufacturer in November at EICMA 2023. In foreign markets, the Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 916 30th Anniversary is priced at around 1.11 billion VND and is produced in limited quantities of 500 units.
Less than 2 weeks after its global launch, the “red demon” has received 2 orders from Vietnamese bikers, even though the official price has not been announced in our country. The first person to place an order was businessman Pham Tran Nhat Minh and the second person to recently “lock in” their order is a biker from the Western region.
Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 916 30th Anniversary is inspired by the championship-winning Ducati 996 1999 World Superbike ridden by Carl Fogarty. This is clearly shown in the design elements such as the front end, headlights, fairing, air intake, V-shaped emblem on the fairing, short and nimble tail, and single-sided swingarm…
The 30-year anniversary edition of the Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 916 exudes a charming look with a fairing created by Centro Stile Ducati. The fairing carries the 3-color scheme of Italy with a white number plate and the number “1” of Fogarty’s bike engraved in a modern pattern. Additionally, the fuel tank lid also features a highlight of the holly logo in the same gold color as the 916.
Similar to the legend, the Panigale V4 SP2 30th Anniversary 916 is only available with a single-seat configuration and is equipped with an Anniversary solid aluminum plate with laser engraving of the model name and production serial number.
Compared to the standard version, the Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 916 30th Anniversary offers superior improvements such as a fuel tank lid made from aluminum billet, a carbon front mudguard, heat shield for the exhaust pipe, lighter chain sprocket, STM-EVO SBK dry clutch, and Rizoma footpegs.
Furthermore, the special edition also features 5-spoke carbon wheels, reducing the weight of the wheels by 1.4kg compared to the forged Marchesini wheels of the V4 S and 3.4kg compared to the wheels of the Panigale V4. The moment of inertia is reduced by about 26% at the front and 46% at the rear, making the bike more agile, less fatiguing, and more precise when accelerating.
The “red demon” is also equipped with Brembo Stylema R calipers and cooling ducts, providing high braking efficiency and stable braking performance even during long journeys. The Brembo MCS clutch master cylinder allows simple and intuitive adjustment of the lever feel and distance without the need to stop.
Powering the Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 916 30th Anniversary is the liquid-cooled Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine with a displacement of 1,103cc, producing 210 horsepower at 12,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 122 Nm at 11,000 rpm.
