According to research, the ancient bonsai tree and the motorbike in the photo are located in the garden of a man named Tam in Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong. Mr. Tam said that this “masterpiece” was created by chance 25 years ago.
Mr. Tam mentioned that during that time he opened a duck porridge stall in his garden. To create more space for the stall, he leaned his Yamaha motorbike against the ancient tree.
Back then, the Yamaha was still in good running condition, but Mr. Tam had no use for it, so he left the bike next to the tree day after day.
After a while, a small root grew on the ancient tree and attached itself to the Yamaha. Seeing this, Mr. Tam decided to leave it as it was. For the past 25 years, the bonsai leaves have provided shade and shelter for the motorbike. Now, the bike cannot be moved because the tree roots are tightly wrapped around it.
The bike is over 50 years old
Mr. Tam shared that many people have offered him millions to buy this “masterpiece” and plant it in tourist areas, but he refused to sell. He also added that he bought this bike from a friend. It is one of the first Yamaha motorbikes ever imported into Vietnam over 50 years ago.
“That Yamaha bike was the first bike I ever bought. Back then, its price was equivalent to 1,000 ducks, not a small amount. Now I have many bikes and even a mansion, but that motorbike is linked to the difficult days of my past, so I have decided not to sell it,” Mr. Tam shared.
