Recently, the internet community has been spreading some images of a silver-colored Mercedes-Benz 190SL in Saigon. This has surprised many people because this is a 55-year-old model and is considered rare in Vietnam.

The Mercedes-Benz 190SL was only produced from 1955 to 1963, then handed over the production line to the 230SL. During its 9-year life span, a total of 25,881 Mercedes-Benz 190SL cars were assembled and sold to customers worldwide, of which Vietnamese tycoons only own 2 units.

This gray-colored car is one of the two Mercedes-Benz 190SL cars in the S-shaped strip of land. The remaining one has a shiny black exterior, brown interior, and belongs to a tycoon in Ninh Binh. This tycoon is also the first person to own a genuine Bentley Bentayga in Vietnam.

In addition to the classic silver exterior, this car also impresses with its eye-catching red interior.

The Mercedes-Benz 190SL, when produced, was considered the “affordable” version of the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300SL gull-wing model. The car has overall dimensions including a length of 4,290 mm, width of 1,740 mm, and height of 1,320 mm.

Based on the 6-cylinder in-line engine design of the 300SL, the Mercedes-Benz 190SL uses a 4-cylinder in-line SOHC engine, with a displacement of 1.9 liters, naturally aspirated, producing 104 horsepower and 142 Nm of torque. 4-speed transmission.
