Mazda CX-3 2024 Launches in Southeast Asia with Enhanced Convenience and Safety Features

Recently, Mazda has introduced a minor upgrade version of the CX-3 in the Malaysian market. In this market, the 2024 Mazda CX-3 comes in 3 variants, including 1.5G 2WD Plus, 2.0G 2WD Plus, and 2.0G 2WD High. The price of this model ranges from 115,720 – 139,159 RM (about 601 – 723 million VND), significantly more expensive than the Mazda CX-3 currently sold in Vietnam (524 – 644 million VND).

The new version of this B-segment SUV retains the same design as the previous one. Instead, Mazda only updates additional convenience and safety features for the car.

Compared to the previous version, the 2024 Mazda CX-3 standard version for the Malaysian market has additional upgrades such as LED headlights with automatic on/off, automatic high/low beam control, daytime running LED lights, and power-adjustable/automatic folding mirrors with integrated turn signals.

Imported from Thailand, this B-segment SUV still retains LED combination taillights, Halogen rear fog lights, and automatic wipers. The lower trims of the car only use 16-inch wheels and do not have front fog lights. Meanwhile, the highest trim is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels and front LED fog lights.

Inside the car, the two lower trims of the Mazda CX-3 2024 have the added feature of wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity. All three variants use an 8-inch touchscreen display, a 6-speaker audio system, and 2 USB ports.

In addition, the two lower trims are equipped with a reverse camera, while the highest trim features a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging, a head-up display (HUD), power-adjustable sunroof, and auto-dimming rearview mirror.

In the 2024 version, the Mazda CX-3 for Malaysia also comes with the standard i-Activsense active safety package, including features such as adaptive headlights, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and emergency automatic braking. Regardless of the version, the car has 6 airbags instead of the previous version’s 2 airbags and 4 rear sensors. Meanwhile, the 2.0G High variant is equipped with additional features such as driver attention alert and front parking sensors.

Under the hood of the 2024 Mazda CX-3 in the Malaysian market, there are 2 options for a naturally aspirated 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a displacement of 1.5L and 2.0L. The 1.5L engine delivers a maximum power of 114 horsepower and a peak torque of 149 Nm. The corresponding figures for the 2.0L engine are 154 horsepower and 206 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission with standard steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

When purchasing the Mazda CX-3 2024, Malaysian customers can choose colors such as Polymetal Grey, Machine Grey, Soul Red Crystal, Jet Black, Platinum Quartz, Snowflake White Pearl, and Aero Gray.
