On November 22, 2023, Toyota Vietnam officially introduced the all-new 2023 Alphard model.
In addition to the core values that make up the Alphard brand, such as luxurious interior space, convenience with elegant design aimed at users that embodies the Omotenashi spirit of Japanese culture, Alphard 2023 has been transformed with advanced technology equipment that exceeds customer expectations.
Powerful, dynamic, and luxurious exterior
The exterior of Alphard stands out with its block-shaped design, connected by unique and sophisticated LED lighting clusters, creating a sense of luxury and class. Besides the curved lines that express the unique personality of the car, the chrome-plated borders and embossed lines pointing forward convey strength, dynamism, and readiness to break through.
Both the front and rear light clusters are equipped with full-LED lights, sequential turn signals, and Adaptive High Beam System (AHS) technology, providing modern appearance and optimal visibility for the driver at night. The redesigned side mirrors help reduce wind noise during movement, while integrating modern features such as mirror heating, memory position, and automatic adjustment when reversing.
The front door handles are chrome-plated with smart lock/unlock sensors, while the rear door handles have buttons for easy access. Especially, the electric sliding door system has been improved to completely eliminate noise when opening and closing, bringing convenience and comfort to the owner. The trunk is equipped with power button to open/close on both sides of the rear of the car for convenience in use.
Luxurious interior and premium amenities
The luxurious interior space with meticulously detailed elements in every line. The second-row seats are equipped with executive seats with many modern amenities such as ottoman footrest, heating, ventilation, massage, foldable work desk with integrated vanity mirror, and 8-way power adjustable buttons. Besides, the seat structure and cushion material reduce vibrations, providing comfortable and relaxing experience for passengers on every journey.
In addition, the wireless touch screen control for the executive seats allows customers to adjust features such as audio system, air conditioning, cabin lights, sunroof curtains, window curtains, and other amenities easily.
In particular, Alphard 2023 is equipped with multiple storage positions and convenient charging ports for all positions in the car, in accordance with the Omotenashi spirit. A special feature on Alphard and also the only feature in MPV models in Vietnam is the 220V power outlet with a maximum capacity of up to 1500W (on the Hybrid version), meeting all the usage needs of the owner from work devices like laptops to beauty devices, hairdryers, skincare devices, coffee makers, etc., serving artists’ performances or outdoor activities, bringing complete and interesting experiences for every family trip.
The driver’s position is also equipped with leading amenities to assist the driving process. The 12.3″ digital instrument cluster displays clear information for easy observation by the driver. The multi-information display is divided into 3 separate areas and allows the driver to select the displayed information to view multiple sources of information at the same time.
The 3-spoke, leather-wrapped, wood veneered steering wheel can be adjusted in 4 directions and has heating function. In addition, the steering wheel is equipped with a touch-sensitive button to adjust the multi-information display, audio system, hands-free calling, lane keeping support, and active cruise control, paddle shifting, making it more convenient for customers to operate. In general, the all-new Alphard brings comfort, luxury, and premium amenities throughout the usage process.
Advanced safety features
With the desire to prioritize customer safety, Toyota Alphard 2023 is equipped with the most advanced safety features available today. In which, the Toyota Safety Sense active safety technology package is available on both versions and includes features that provide maximum protection for the driver and passengers such as Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA) and Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), Adaptive High Beam System (AHS) and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Tire Pressure Warning System (TPWS), 360-degree camera, 8 parking sensors, and 6 airbags,…
In particular, the Safe Exit Assist (SEA) system installed on the Alphard will provide warnings on the exterior rearview mirror, multi-information display, and audible warnings, while limiting/canceling the sliding door opening operation if there is a high risk of collision with approaching vehicles, thereby assisting in avoiding collisions and minimizing maximum damage to approaching vehicles. In addition, the Parking Support Brake (PKSB) system installed on the Alphard will provide warnings through sound, reduce engine power, and automatically brake when a static object (in front and rear) or an approaching vehicle is detected, helping customers limit collisions and ensure safe driving/parking at low speeds.
Powerful performance and Hybrid technology demonstrate the green direction in Vietnam
Alphard 2023 owns a completely new frame system based on the global TNGA design platform, which improves visibility, flexibility, and stability. Customers have 2 options: Petrol and Hybrid (HEV) versions.
The all-new Alphard is not left out of the global automotive industry’s shift towards reducing emissions and aiming for carbon neutrality by adding Hybrid options. A green car for emotionally rich journeys is sure to be the top choice for visionaries. The Hybrid system on the Alphard is a combination of a 2.5L petrol engine, electric motor, and hybrid transmission. The Hybrid battery on the Alphard HEV uses NiMH batteries for durability and safety. The battery is located under the front seats, making the rear floor completely flat. Therefore, in addition to the driving power, the Alphard Hybrid also operates smoothly, providing a comfortable experience for customers.
Additionally, the petrol version of Alphard 2023 is equipped with a 2.4L turbocharged engine combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission for powerful performance and fuel efficiency.
In particular, the Alphard 2023 is equipped with the Sway Control technology (PBC), proactively limiting the lateral movement of the vehicle body through torque adjustment from the petrol engine/electric motor, bringing stability and smoothness when the car moves on rough roads. At the same time, Alphard 2023 is equipped with noise-reducing details in the engine area, car floor, doors, and tires, along with active noise control (ANC) system to reduce the impact of noise on the cabin, bringing comfort and quietness to passengers.
In addition, to bring peace of mind when owning Alphard, Toyota offers special offers for customers: a 2-year/50,000 km extended warranty package (whichever comes first) for customers who purchase new Alphard vehicles. Especially, the Hybrid version has an additional warranty package for the Hybrid Battery for 4 years/50,000 km (whichever comes first). Accordingly, the total warranty time for Alphard vehicles is up to 5 years/150,000 km (whichever comes first), and the warranty time for the Hybrid Battery on the Hybrid version is 7 years/150,000 km (whichever comes first), valid until December 31, 2024.
