Following a clearance sale of various models, Volkswagen dealers have recently started taking deposits for a new minivan model, promising to launch it by the end of the year.

This model is none other than the Volkswagen Viloran, which will replace the discontinued Sharan in Vietnam. It is expected to directly compete with the Hyundai Custin and Kia Carnival when it arrives in the country.

The Volkswagen Viloran is developed on the renowned MQB platform with dimensions of 5,346 x 1,976 x 1,781 mm (length x width x height), and a wheelbase of 3,180 mm.

The car features an elegant design, with many lines reminiscent of its “sibling” Touareg.

The front of the car leaves an impression with its large and sophisticated grille. The design seamlessly extends to the LED headlights, giving the car a more imposing and powerful look.

The Volkswagen Viloran features electric sliding doors on both sides, making it convenient and easy for passengers to get in and out.

The rear of the car has sleek LED taillights, connected by a chrome strip. Despite being in the MPV segment, the Viloran also has sporty elements with its symmetrical twin exhaust pipes and roof spoiler.

Inside, the 2023 Viloran has a spacious and comfortable cabin equipped with modern features such as a 4-spoke sports steering wheel with multiple smart functions, a 10.2-inch Digital dashboard, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a touch-based air conditioning system, and the famous DYAUDIO audio system from Denmark…

Not only spacious, the Viloran also boasts a panoramic sunroof system that extends to the end of the second-row seats, providing an open and airy space.

The second-row seats are designed to business-class standards, with individual armrests, large footrests, and multi-directional power adjustments, along with ventilation, heating, and massage functions.

The third-row seats are quite spacious, but not suitable for long journeys due to limited legroom.

It is unclear which engine the car will be equipped with when it arrives in Vietnam. In the Chinese market, the 2023 Viloran is powered by a turbocharged 2.0L TSI engine. In the standard version, the car has a power output of 184 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. The higher trim level increases the maximum power to 217 horsepower and maximum torque to 350 Nm.

All versions are equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

In terms of safety features, the car comes with a range of driver assistance features such as active braking assist, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning…

The expected price of the VW Viloran in Vietnam is still uncertain. In the Chinese market, this minivan has a relatively high price, around 290,000 yuan (nearly 1 billion VND) for the standard version.
