Specifically, Wearnes Vietnam Co., Ltd. will implement a recall program for 2 Bentley Continental GT First Edition W12 and Continental GT W12 cars produced from June 15, 2018, to July 10, 2020.
According to the announcement from the Vehicle Registration Department, the water pump system of the vehicles subject to recall can create pressure differences, causing coolant to seep down into the electrical circuit boards and connectors. In time, the vehicles are prone to short circuits, overheating, and the risk of fire and explosion.
Wearnes Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Bentley’s authorized dealers will inspect and rectify the issue for all vehicles affected by this recall for free. The repair time is estimated to be around one hour.
In addition, Wearnes Vietnam will also repair and inspect free of charge for imported vehicles through diplomatic channels and gift vehicles if they are on the affected list provided by Bentley Motors Limited.
Earlier on May 12, Bentley Motors also announced the recall of more than 1,600 Flying Spur vehicles in the US due to potential damage related to the entertainment system screen.
