To shoot some scenes of the character Han Lue in the blockbuster movie Fast & Furious – Fast X, the producers decided to choose a modified Nissan Z.
The modified Nissan Z VeilSide FFZ400 is a collaboration project between Japanese tuning company VeilSide and actor Sung Kang, which was unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2023.
In the movie, Sung Kang will portray the character Han Lue and perform impressive scenes alongside the Nissan Z VeilSide FFZ400.
It is known that the Japanese tuning company took about 2 months to create the stunning Nissan Z VeilSide FFZ400 from its exterior to its interior.
The car impresses with its eye-catching red and black colors. The front end stands out with a sharp nose, rectangular grille, extended front bumper, and angular headlights with curved LED daytime running lights, reminiscent of the Fairlady 240ZG from the 1970s.
To give the car a more sporty and aggressive look, VeilSide added powerful details such as front fender flares, and front lip spoiler.
Looking at the sides of the car, the logo with the “Z” symbol is still retained at the C-pillar.
In addition, the Nissan Z VeilSide FFZ400 is equipped with 20-inch 5-spoke wheels, featuring the distinctive VeilSide logo. It also has an air suspension system that lowers the ground clearance to the lowest level.
The car’s hood is taken from the original Nissan Fairlady Z. The VeilSide logo is elegantly integrated into this position.
At the rear, the Nissan Z has minimal modifications. It retains the horizontally positioned taillights with an impressive layered angular design. Below, there is a glossy black diffuser that surrounds the dual exhaust pipes. The exhaust system has been fine-tuned to deliver a more exciting sound for the driver compared to the stock Nissan exhaust.
Especially, the car is equipped with a “ducktail” spoiler directly connected to the body through screws. The VeilSide logo also stands out in this position.
As for the interior, all the original seats have been replaced with VeilSide carbon fiber racing seats. The company’s logo is also present in most interior details such as the dashboard, door trims, and steering wheel.
In addition, the interior features remain the same as before. Behind the steering wheel is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that allows drivers to change between 3 interfaces. The car is equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display as standard on the Sport variant and a larger 9.0-inch screen with navigation and Wi-Fi.
Furthermore, the car also has some notable features such as: 3 analog gauges that display information about boost pressure, turbo speed, and voltage, an improved gear lever for better grip, and a mechanical handbrake.
Under the hood, the car still uses a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine with 405 horsepower and 475 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard and an optional 9-speed automatic transmission. Although the acceleration figures have not been officially announced, Nissan claims that this new generation will be 15% faster, meaning that the car can likely accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds.
In terms of safety equipment, the modified version of the Nissan Z still has notable features such as: emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and rear cross-traffic alert.
It is known that the final part of the Fast & Furious blockbuster will officially hit theaters in May this year, when viewers will be able to admire the spectacular action scenes of the character Han Lue alongside the Nissan Z VeilSide FFZ400.
