Hyundai Tucson, the current generation, has not been on the market for long, but the Korean automaker is preparing to launch a mid-life facelift for this crossover model. Recently, the prototype of the Hyundai Tucson Facelift was spotted on the test drive.
In the latest sighting, the Tucson Facelift was stripped of its heavy camouflage at the front. One notable point is that the upgraded Tucson’s radiator grille appears to be smaller than the current version, but still retains its bold and prominent appearance.
The rest of the front end is still disguised, but we can see a new front bumper and refined lighting system.
Turning to the rear, we can expect a redesigned rear bumper and updated taillights in terms of both design and lighting graphics. Currently, there are many opinions that hope Hyundai will remove the fang-like taillight arrangement as seen on the current version.
Inside the cabin, I assume that most of the features and functions of the upgraded version will be similar to the current version, except for the decorative highlights and new interior materials. The Hyundai Tucson is already equipped with a full range of premium features, such as an infotainment system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, over 60 connectivity features, ventilated and heated seats, a panoramic sunroof, a premium Bose sound system, wireless phone charging, and Hyundai SmartSense with Level 2 ADAS.
Regarding the powertrain, depending on the markets, the Hyundai Tucson will be offered with different engine options. Experts assess that there may not be any changes in the drivetrain options for the Tucson facelift.
The Hyundai Tucson Facelift is expected to be launched first in the domestic market of South Korea as a 2024 model, followed by other markets.
