Similar to the Crosstrek, Outback, and WRX, the all-new Forester also applies a more evolutionary style rather than a complete redesign in terms of design. The car receives a new front fascia with a wider grille, improved headlights, and slimmer LED daytime running lights. Like other Subaru models, the all-new Forester is equipped with thicker plastic cladding for the front and rear bumper, mudguards…
Moving to the rear, the taillights are also redesigned in a more conventional style with clear lenses, connected through a black strip. The leaked images of the next-generation Forester show that the Sport variant has new-designed alloy wheels painted in copper.
Inside, the all-new Forester features an infotainment system with a prominent vertically-oriented touchscreen on the dashboard, with fewer physical control buttons. The car seems to also have multiple front USB ports accompanying the wireless charging system. The leaked photo also shows that Subaru still keeps analog dials for the instrument cluster.
Meanwhile, detailed information about the powertrain has not been revealed yet, but it is highly likely that the all-new Forester will continue to offer engine options such as the naturally aspirated 2.0L and 2.5L boxer-4 engines, along with the eBoxer 2.0L hybrid option. All of these engines will depend on the market where the Forester is being offered.
More details about the all-new Forester will be unveiled at the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show, which will open on November 16.
